no more chains

One of my favorite things about what I get to do with On Fire Fit is to hear about things that are going on personally for people. One common theme for many of us is the feeling of not being able to get rid of chains that hang on us or that we hang onto!
Those chains come in many forms: addiction, unwanted personality traits, past regrets, shame, habits that don’t serve us, mindsets that resurface when we least expect it and any number of other things that seem to hold us back from the best life we could hope for.
I’ve been in Psalm 107 this week and I will string together some powerful phrases that I underlined:
Some of us once sat in darkness, living in the dark shadows of death.
We were prisoners to our pain, chained to our regrets……
Then we cried out, “Lord, help us! Rescue us!” And He did!
His light broke through the darkness and He led us out in freedom from death’s dark shadow and snapped every one of our chains. (excerpts from Psalm 107:10-14 TPT)
No matter what feels like chains….He can and will snap them and then lead us out into freedom!
