Who wants to renew their mind? Woo Hoo! I always do!
As I read through a devotional on the YouVersion app, I loved some of the ways the author described this process. The original source is called: 7 Ways to Renew Your Mind
First, stop waiting for an outside miracle to change your mind.
Most of those miracles will never come unless you change the way you think and fill your mind with what God says (aka the Bible).
Stop making your mind a sidewalk for the devil to trample on. In Matthew 13:4, seed was thrown and the seed that fell on the path was stolen away by birds. Don’t let the devil walk on your mind as a sidewalk, otherwise the Word of God won’t plant and “the birds” will steal it from your heart.
Even back to our friends, the Israelites, the whining and complaining they did despite all the miracles kept most of them out of the Promised Land. And then we have the Pharisees who told Jesus that if He did a few more miracles they’d believe He was the Son of God. No matter how much He did, they still remained unconvinced.
“The same sun that melts the ice also hardens the clay. Miracles are like that–for those who are refusing God’s Word to have dominion over their lives, miracles are never enough.”
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will. -Romans 12:2
