The second way to renew your mind, as described in the devotional 7 Ways to Renew Your Mind, is to stop believing you can’t control your thoughts.
We are expected to choose our thoughts, not let our thoughts be chosen by something else.
Our minds are a battlefield and so we do get attacked in our minds. However, we have the Holy Spirit to connect with our spirit to build us stronger.
“The mind is a servant, either to your spirit or to your flesh. When the spirit is weak, the mind runs errands for the flesh by thinking negative thoughts. But when we constantly build our spirit by communion with the Holy Spirit, our mind comes under the influence of the Word of God.”
Set up a border patrol to stop terrorist thoughts of doubt, fear, and negativity from entering and living in your mind!
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Joshua 1:8
