Good morning!
Are there any areas in your life, whether outwardly or inwardly, that you need to “return to God?”
I wrote earlier this week about our “wanderings.” Most often this metaphor isn’t about our physical environment but about our heart and mind environment.
Wandering can look like fear and anxiety, sleeplessness and restlessness over situations either in or out of our control, habits that are leading us away from what is best for us, etc.
The good news is God is always there with us, even in our wanderings. As I said yesterday, He is even the One that can change our desires so that we WANT to return to Him in those areas.
“If you return to Me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve Me.” Jeremiah 15:19 (NLT)
What does it look like to return to God in some of those inward places where fear and anxiety and stress seem to be taking ahold?
For me, it looks like reading God’s promises in the Bible and praising Him for the very situation that is causing me stress or worry. When I remember His faithfulness and remind myself that He is the One who will restore me, I can and want to “return to Him” in my focus and my understanding that HE is God and I am Him child.
Praise to God who daily meets ALL of our needs!
