May Dormitory Diary Entry - Kim

Hello everyone. Kim here.

This is my dormitory diary entry for May.

I shifted out of training and into actual work in April, so it’s already been about a month since then. I’m getting the hang of in-between animation, so I’ve been working on some higher-level cuts. Stuff like turning, hands from different angles, stuff like that.

As these cuts are harder they take more time to draw, and once completed, almost all of them had to be corrected. It’s been a good learning experience.

Recently, I’ve been imitating one of my favorite illustrators.

I do it as a hobby, but I actually think it’s an important study method. I’m still lacking in experience and style, so analyzing the drawings of people who have style teaches me a lot.

The notebook I’ve had since April is still about half empty. I’ll do my best to draw more and fill it up.

I’ve been diligent about my hip exercises and posture, so I feel much better now.

I’ll keep up the good posture at work.
