In this episode Alex and Liz talk about what goes in to making a post appear on Blizzard Watch; it's a lot more than just writing some words in WordPress. From pitching to editing and all the fun therein, it's quite a process. A lot of this is stuff we haven't talked about in public before, but we're guessing you'll enjoy it.

Enjoyed the podcast! I like listening to how people work on things that I kind of take for granted will just appear on the site and entertain the community. SIXTY writers? What? How? Who?

2015-08-29 09:54:30 +0000 UTCGood stuff. I worked at a magazine publisher before (not as an editor), and it was interesting hearing about your process vs. at a magazine. One of the entertaining things with the editors there is when the senior editors would get in a debate about things like style. I got in trouble once for wondering about the need for hyphens, endashes, and emdashes (why not just use hyphens for everything). Then there was the debate about tradeoff vs. trade-off. The screaming could be heard throughout the entire building, and in the end one of the editors had to eat crow (I think trade-off won). Different from listening to Anne and Matt brainstorm about lore, but still fun to listen to.
