Lore Watch Episode 14: The Aspects and the Age of Mortals

This week our Lore Watchers Anne, Matt, and Joe take a question via email regarding the Aspects and their place in the world now that they've expended their powers and become mortals. And of course you can't talk the Aspects without bringing Wrathion into the discussion! Warning: There are a few Legion spoilers at the end of the show. There is a warning before any spoiler chitchat begins, for those of you avoiding spoiler content.

For Patrons, we're happy to give you access to the episode before everyone else - enjoy it right over here on SoundCloud!

Note that if you want to you can download it from SoundCloud onto your favorite device. And as always, let us know what you think. Thanks for listening!

Comments

I've recently have been listening to the Lore Watch podcast and spam listening at that. As I was listening to episode 7 something occurred to me during Anne's description of Elune and her possibility being a Naaru. Then there was a brief mention of how you feel at peace in the presents of a Naaru. It struck me then that this is something similar to what Queen Azshara does. I'm not saying that Azshara is a Naaru, I'm just saying that she obviously has this power of compulsion about her. Which seems the similar of what the Naaru have but instead is "evil". I know it's very thin string, but then there's all this lore within Highborn how she was the favored of Elune etc. Plus in a prior episode during the discussion of Naaru and how they are willing to sacrifice to achieve their goals. Let's say that Elune is a Naaru, let's go with Azshara was favored by Elune like how Velen is favored. Then something happened, she was cut off from Elune, possibility with intent by the Naaru. Which then helps lead to Azshara's next steps (casting out the priests, her looking solely to the well for magical power, etc..)

Keep 'et Classy

I get the strangest feeling that we're going to end up fighting the titans at some point. I feel like we're going to lose to the Legion - badly - and our only recourse will be to turn to the Infinite. While using the Infinite to fight the Legion we discover the Ordering that the Titans are imposing on the universe is not as benevolent as we had been led to believe. So we take on the Titanic Pantheon, downing them one by one, until they are forced to reactivate the Final Titan, the one figure in Lore who has been noticably absent until now. Sargeras.
