Blizzard Watch Behind the Scenes: Week of May 1

We're back with another behind-the-scenes podcast! Alex Ziebart and Anne Stickney talk about what's coming up in the month of May, along with the usual smattering of sidetalk into various other projects and speculation about future WoW expansion announcements. You can listen right here, or over on Soundcloud!

I enjoy the banter and casual convo during the regular podcast, but from the BtS show I'd really prefer a more professional focus. No offense or insult intended, but I liked when Liz and/or Adam did the show with Alex better than the ones with Anne - these seem much more likely to spend almost their entire showtime 'off-topic'. From a donor's standpoint, this show would be a good way to show me how great BW is and how much you're doing with it. Discussions about actual decision-making (large or small!), dreams, pre-plans, concerns, changes - all the stuff that makes BW a business with a future vs just some fun folks chatting about a game we all love. I do enjoy the site and the shows, but if you're looking at ways to improve, well, that's my perspective.

To be honest I think I enjoy the casual of topic discussions (as well as the regular show pre-show) more than the on topic discussions. Not that I don't enjoy the on topic discussions, but something about the random banter is very fun to listen to.

I enjoy listening to you guys. As someone who lives outside the US and isn't interested in travelling it gives me a glimpse into life in another country. And it's good to hear your opinions on all sorts of different things.

I always try to catch all your podcasts. The Behind the Scenes one is lots of fun and gives a more nuanced perspective on Blizzard's business and the games. You should run a poll for the next expac: I'm down for big Overwatch announcement at Gamescon and WoW 8.0 at Blizzcon. Also, glad your bathroom renovation is done! My family's rule of thumb on home renovations and similar projects is take an estimate and multiply by 3. In your case, you thought it would take a week, and it was closer to three weeks. This is great wisdom passed on by my late father, a veteran of 40 years of DIY projects :-).

I listen every single fortnight! I like what you talk about, the casual nature of the chit chat is one thing I like about the Behind The Scenes podcast. I like your perspectives, what's important to running the site, and your feelings about what Blizzard is doing at the time. More casual and personal even than can go in an editorial or on the regular podcast.

I am actually listening and your words definitely hold value! Honestly, I could listen to you guys talk about anything. I would be interested in hearing a bit about your individual professional experiences. How did you get to where you are today? What interests you about your job(s)? What are some of the missed opportunities or regrets you have (professionally-speaking)? Where do you see yourselves going in the future? And more globally, where do you guys see Blizzard Watch going? What is the next "big step" or long-term goal you guys have set? Just chat us up about anything and everything! :)

Yes, I listen to you. I would like to hear more about how you are handling the slow drop in Patreon financing. By the way, Emilio Estevez was also in "Repo Man". Worth checking out. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087995/
