Watching Blizzard: Do you really need healing? Are you sure?

Welcome back, my fellow Blizzard Watchers. (Do we have a collective noun? I mean, there's Quevian, but does that cover all of us?)

Anyway...

I spent yesterday evening in battlegrounds to help people get their Children's Week achievement which is not the most desirable way to spend an evening. And it's not just the dying that's annoying, it's the people. There are the ones who are angry about non-PVPers ruining their fun and spend the whole battleground reporting you. There are the ones who whine endlessly about not getting healed. And there are the ones who would just like to get this battleground done and collect some honor and get on with their lives, who are really the only ones of the lot who are remotely acceptable company. (And as a tip, if you are in a battleground and unhappy about not getting healed, keep the Rogues off the nearest healer, because they can't heal when they're stunlocked.)

Anyway...

Besides it being Children's Week, there's not much excitement in Azeroth right now. However, there is a new Overwatch patch and a few tidbits from the world beyond Warcraft (and yes, there is one). Let's take a look at the latest news.

Jay the Tavern Bard gets a tribute in Battle for Azeroth

• If you don't remember Jay the Tavern Bard, he won the musical portion of last year's BlizzCon talent contest and basically collapsed into a group hug with the judges in surprised. In short, the guy is precious and I will definitely be visiting his NPC to hear a song or two.

If you happened to be bored watching Overwatch League...

• You could play Overwatch! There's new content today, with the Rialto map and a Hanzo rework.
• And, yes, Overwatch League is still going strong, though the Dragons don't play until tomorrow so I can't be bothered to pay attention.

Yes, Overwatch toxicity is still a thing

• But the Overwatch team is still trying to fight it. Today, Scott Mercer made a big post on the forums rounding up all of their efforts to kill off toxic behavior, including AI to identify toxicity and the ability to avoid particular players in game.
• Also this post includes my second-favorite picture of Jeff Kaplan, so it's worth checking out just for that.  (Or you could just check out his holiday yule log video. That's okay too.)
• But to see my favorite picture of Jeff Kaplan, you'll have to go back in time to watch this video about Diablo's 20th birthday, which features Jeff making his "I'm sad I didn't get to work on Diablo" face.

Would you like a real life Atiesh?

• Because a bunch of Warcraft movie props are going on sale, including Medivh's staff. But there's no word on if magical powers come with it or if you have to provide them yourself.
