Watching Blizzard: We aren’t bored, but…

Okay, we’re kind of bored. It’s been a kind of quiet week on the Blizzard Watching front. Sure, we learned we’re getting a chihuahua mount in Heroes of the Storm, but we don’t have one yet. Sure, Noblegarden started in Hearthstone but all it gave us was a couple of boring cards and a somewhat frustrating Brawl. Sure, it’s the Spring Balloon Festival in WoW, but… well, I’ll just let Alex explain how disappointing it is:

Balloons will only depart when there are three people waiting to ride. I’ve been the only person by the Suramar balloon for like 15 minutes.

Yep. No matter where you go in the Blizzard-verse this week it is excitement central.

But that’s okay, because we can make our own fun. Right? Right. Now let’s get to the news.

New Yorkers rejoice!

Or at least New York Overwatch fans. All of the Overwatch League matches so far have taken place in Los Angeles, but the grand finals are heading to New York City. I’m sure there are a bunch of happy NYXL fans over that one.
And on the subject of Overwatch League, it’s about to grow: Blizzard is looking to add four to six teams for the next season.

We like Reinhardt…

…and we like Lego. So obviously we are super into this DIY Lego Reinhardt. And if you have the bricks and the patience, you can build one of your own.

Diablo is terrifying

He’s the Lord of Terror, so it’s kind of just part of the job. However, he’s about to get even more terrifying because he’s getting a big rework in Heroes of the Storm.
(With apologies for those of you who were hoping for Diablo-the-game news, because we still don’t have any.)

Ever wonder how an Overwatch map gets made?

No? Well, even if you haven’t, it’s pretty dang interesting. Level designer David M. Adams posted a video of the making of Watchpoint: Gibraltar, so you can watch each area go from roughly blocked out to finished product.
