Watching Blizzard: Apparently none of us are crafting these days

The response to our latest Breakfast Topic about crafting professions was overwhelming: apparently no one is making anything in the game these days. (Or at least no one except the handful of people who are selling the handful of actually useful crafted items on the auction house.) Perhaps it shouldn't have surprised me: Legion has made professions a grind that's locked behind dungeon runs and random drops, while making most crafted gear less appealing than World Quest rewards.

I suppose that means less grinding for most of us... and more gold for the people who have the patience to make it. Thank goodness for those people, profiting handsomely from our disinterest in professions.

But who wants to talk about the mess of profession quests still in their quest log? Let's get back to the news.

• Diablo 3 Season 13 kicks off tomorrow: here's everything you need to know to dive into the latest season, even if you've never tried one before.
• The Mythic Invitational Proving Grounds open up on the 27th, so be sure to finalize your Mythic team soon!
• Overwatch's latest competitive season wraps up this weekend, with season 9 starting next Wednesday.
• If you're interested in applying to be a WoW forum MVP, do it fast: the application period closes next Wednesday, too. (Just in time for you to turn in your paperwork and log on to Overwatch, right?)

Ever wonder just what those competitive Overwatch tiers really mean? 

• Jeff "from the Overwatch team" Kaplan gives us a breakdown of what percentage of the playerbase falls into each tier — and despite all of those players who claim to be Grandmaster, only 1% of players manage to reach that top rank.
