2018-06-28 05:27:01 +0000 UTCI *almost* got into Harry Potter. Borrowed the first two from a neighbor around the time the third came out and straight up devoured them in 24h each, from afternoon to afternoon. But then I had to wait two weeks for the third one, and then I took, uh, at least a week for that one. And somehow, the spell (haha) was broken. Haven't read any later books, watched portions of the movies. However, I found implementations of the "magic school" trope that I like more: The Name of the Wind, which I hope everyone has at least heard of, and the webcomic Gunnerkrigg Court, both with unique spins, whereas HP is rather the "pop" or AAA version, streamlined to the mass audience. May I also mention Rossi's book series (Nameless, Heartless, Faceless) which at one point features a ~100-year-old vampire's/book store owner's confusion over these newfangled books about a magic school in England? :D
