Watching Blizzard: All the news that’s fit to print

By which I mean news about all of the adorable stuff in Azeroth. Because that's what you want to know, right? I hope so, because that's what we've got. (Okay, there are a few other things, but the adorable stuff is the most interesting part.) So what are we waiting for? There are animals to pet!

We've got your adorable stuff right here

• Yes, that means it's time for a very important gallery of things you can and cannot pet in Battle for Azeroth.
• And Rossi found the most adorable dog in the game. Probably. We may not have cataloged them all just yet.

But maybe adorable isn't your thing

• In that case, you might want to track down L.E. Craft, famed Azerothian novelist who is signing first editions of his latest work, "A Steamy Romance Novel: Stormy Seas." It's bound to be a bestseller, so get yours before it's gone.

And maybe you are done with all of this fluff

"Liz!" I hear you saying. "Isn't there any actual news to share?!" Okay, okay, gosh you are all very demanding. We're still in a bit of a quiet period where Blizzard is concerned. In WoW, it's all about fixing bugs, and the rest of the game lineup seems to be chugging along as usual. Gamescom starts next week, and if Blizzard has any announcements, that's where we'll get them.

Uh. Probably.

About those announcements we weren't going to get....

• Oops. Someone hit the publish button a little early, so now we know that Diablo 3 is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
• Hopefully the team is working on projects that aren't just ports, though. I'm still dying for new Diablo over here.

The Overwatch World Cup starts tomorrow 

• If you've been missing Overwatch League, you're in luck, because World Cup competition is just getting started. Though it isn't quite the same, you'll see quite a few familiar faces. Here's the lineup.

Mione is retiring from World of Warcraft

• Her crazy feats of soloing were... well, crazy. I'm sure I'm not the only one who will miss watching her conquer the game's biggest bosses all on her own. On her way out, she had a few thoughts to share.

I saved the very best news for last

• This is a reward for everyone who's read to the end of this post. At level 120 your flight master's whistle will rise from the grave and be usable in Kul Tiras and Zandalar. I can't wait.
