Watching Blizzard: We're just waiting for something to happen
Added 2018-08-31 09:29:45 +0000 UTCI admit, I get a little stir crazy when the news is too quiet. What is Blizzard doing in this silence? What are they hiding? What are they waiting to unleash upon an unsuspecting world?
Okay, fine, maybe they aren’t plotting to unleash some ancient evil on the world. Maybe. But it’s more interesting to sit around speculating that they are. (It’s either that or do more world quests.) But while we wait to see what new plot Blizzard is waiting to unleash, let’s review the latest in Blizzard Watching.
All hail our new transmog overlord: legacy loot mode
- Legacy loot is here and it’s making some particularly annoying raids easier to farm: namely, anything with an LFR difficulty, like Dragon Soul and Throne of Thunder. Go get your shinies, people.
Just who is Katherine Proudmoore?
- Rossi takes a look at her story, up through Battle for Azeroth.
Where’s my Pterrordax mount?
- The Horde have a month-long quest chain to get their own dino-mount, but disappointingly the Alliance doesn’t seem to have an equivalent. (However, we still don’t know where that bee mount comes from…)
It’s quiet now, but…
- This weekend we do have PAX West and Dragoncon, and while I don’t think either will be big news events there’s always the chance of a surprise.
- Next week, the first raid of Battle for Azeroth arrives, and there’s certain to be plenty of excitement (and lots of death) as everyone piles in to Uldir. And on the Heroes of the Storm front, Mephisto will move from the PTR to live (I think I told you this last week, but I had it mixed up).
