Hey Pach, I was on amazon looking at prices of the Call of Duty WWII digital deluxe edition and there was a option to buy it on PS4 but nothing for Xbox One. I then checked and saw it is possible to purchase directly from the xbox store but not through this retailer. This seems to be a 3 way cross promotion deal between Activison Amazon and Sony. You have provided valuable insight on console exclusives, what do you think about this retail exclusive deal that seems to be going on?

Hi Pach, I have always been a big fan of you. So there is speculation that Nintendo will move their Switch console into China, there are people saying it will be a big deal others saying it wont be. Mobile gaming is bigger there than home console gaming so Switch would probably get higher sales than the PS4/XBO and gaming there has increase faster than worldwide since China opened its doors to gaming in 2014 IIRC. How big do you think the market is for Nintendo over there in comparison to the rest of the world sales as a fraction?

Mr. Pachter, I started playing Cuphead and I love it. Do you think it would be wise for Disney to hire these guys to make a Disney themed game or would it be best for them to have EA copy the style and make one? Either way, I’m convinced that they should do something like this.

Are there any practical steps Valve, or Sony can take to reverse the trend of their digital stores becoming dumping grounds for shovelware, asset flips, and mobile ports. Does this problem require a whole team of dedicated people, of could ContentID type algorithms be used effectively to cull the extreme offenders? Do service proprietors consider this when opening the floodgates, or are they aware AND uninterested in the issue?

Hey, Mr. Pachter. I would love to hear what you think about a New Switch iteration. Would it be wise for Nintendo to put out an improved iteration of the Switch with some of the issues ironed out and more powerful hardware, maybe even a bigger screen? I think Nvidia already has better Tegra chips for them to use in it. Also, do you think they will do that?

What are you hearing from big publishers on their willingness to continue to invest in large scale AAA single player experiences (big RPGs, Action-Adventure games, etc.) especially in light of the long term profits that can be had from online, DLC heavy games? Is this an issue or are these still two seperate categories?

Mr. Pachter, It seems that there is an inevitable shift toward Games as a Service. I fully expect Anthem to be Bioware’s Destiny and it will probably be just about as deep in story. Do you think that games based upon an engaging narrative are a thing of the past, at least for AAA games?

Mr. Pachter, Digital Download saturation of poor quality content has plauged console stores (especially the e-shop). There's so much garbage that finding worthwhile purchases is nearly in PITA territory. Investing a good amount of time in researching a game's online community and metacritic scores is needed - and even then there's sometimes skewed results. For me, this detracts from the experience of visiting the storefronts. Is it possible there are multiple games on each storefront that have sold zero times. Dear Pach. With the DCMA take down against Pewdipie by the Firewatch developers do you see this becoming more prevalent? Why do you think developers and publishers haven't taken this action previously against YouTubers who have showed racist, homophobic, sexist etc views.

Dear Pach, In our non-console future, do you believe that a publisher's games will be exclusive to their own virtual store? Are publishers more likely to go to a subscription model such as with EA Access and (somewhat) PS Now? Will purchasing likely remain the same, with the current platform holders competing with their virtual stores? Or will external hardware manufacturers and the remaining 4 of the Big Six tech firms disrupt/fragment the current dominance of Playstation, Xbox, Steam et al.?

Dear Mr. Pachter, I bought PSVR and all its accessories a few months ago. Now a new version is announced, less than a year later. PS4 has a Pro Version, Xbox has the ONE X. Every investment in console hardware feels like wasted money, because it is obsolescent in a few months. I owned more or less the same Xbox 360 for eight years without the need to buy a new one. When will this short-cycled era end? Thank you very much for your answer.

What impact might this have for other publishers who have pledged software support for the Switch. Hello Mr Pachter. Recently Jeff Gerstmann mentioned an Xbox engineer told him there is no technical reason stopping Xbox One native code from running on Windows 10 PCs. If Microsoft could flip a proverbial switch and make Xbox One native games run on PC at what point in Microsoft's business strategy would it make sense for them to allow this?

As a lifelong console gamer, for the first time in my life I am planning to ditch consoles for a gaming PC after the PS4 becomes obsolete. how many generations do you think it will take before consoles are completely overtaken by PC? I'm referring to hardcore gaming only and not tablet or mobile games (which I don't care about at all). I know the future of consoles has been discussed many times already but I have not heard your take on a full scale migration from console to PC which I believe will happen in the next five to ten years. What are your thoughts?

Two questions. PSVR seems to be doing well and there are many more games from larger dev studios on the horizon. As an early adopter who's been happy with the purchase thus far, I'm still concerned that a "next gen" version will leave my headset obsolete too soon. Do you see the life cycle for PSVR as a peripheral that will span PS4 to PS5 and its eventual successor span PS5 to PS6 etc? Second question, why don't you shoot in your office anymore?
