GameFace Episode 109

Comments

At the end of the episode you talked a bit about how the patreon number has drifted down a bit. I'm glad this hasn't discouraged you too much. The number of total patrons keeps going up pretty consistently despite the total amount pledged coming down a bit from its high point. I took a screenshot during the middle of the 24 live stream. There were 410 patrons pledging a total of $4,467. As of right now there are 541 patrons pledging a total of $5,450. That's an increase of 130 patrons (30%!) and nearly $1,000 per month (22%). The patreon has been gaining patrons slowly but surely since the 24 hour drive. Hopefully this uptick in number of patrons will slowly start to gain ground against the high dollar patrons lowering their pledges. I must admit that I am one of the patrons who lowered their pledge amount. But it had absolutely nothing to do with the amount of or quality of the content. Between GameFace, Pachter Factor and now Gyfe, SIFTD produces some of my favorite youtube content. I originally upped my pledge from $5 to $10 and then to $50 during the 24 hour drive in hopes of helping build momentum for the drive. I never intended to keep the pledge at $50 after the first month. It was more of a "Let's keep SIFTD going long enough that it can get the neccessary exposure to reach it's 6k goal." I suspect there are other patrons in a similar boat. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know why I think the pledge money has drifted down and why my personal pledge has dropped as well. Thanks for all the hard work. Looking forward to the next livestream drive.

I cannot wait for the reaction to BF2 after this episode...
