Hey Shane. Do I ask too many questions?

Hey Shane. What’s your take on Nike adding Colin Kaepernick to there latest advertising campaign focuses around “inspirational people in sport”? Could the NFL afford to drop Nike as a major partner to avoid a backlash from the White House and rabid trump supporters who don’t understand the point of the protests? Would ADIDAS be a potential new partner?

Hey Shane. I was listening to the Jimquisition podcast and heard Jim and Gav talking about the YouTube algorithm tanking views on their channels by berrying them under other content deemed more popular by YouTube. Jim also mentioned that he’s not producing much new content because it doesn’t get the views The Jimquisition does and again hurts his overall channel views and YouTube profile. What’s your take and would I be right in think the same problems would apply to Siftd.

Hey Shane. Thankfully the release date for Spider-Man is just after I get back from my holiday (fingers crossed you will get your vacation soon). Have there been game releases where you’ve felt like you’ve missed out by not being able to play at launch? What where they, why would they be a important game to get on release day and why did you miss the release?

Hey Shane. I am concerned that the games industry is tip toeing towards digital only sales. Particularly with the financial problems Game and its parent company GameStop is having. The pricing on what are closed sales platforms like PSN and Xbox Live can be significantly more than retail and prices of old games stay higher for longer. For example Spider-Man on PS4 is £10 more to buy on PSN than at retail. The recent PSN summer sale had Doom at £14.99 which can be bought new for the same price or a second hand copy will set you back £4.99. Microsoft is looking at getting round this, seemingly, with their subscription model but Sony don’t seem to want to move away from their closed platform. All things considered if a digital only games industry came any time soon I would buy less games and I can’t be the only person who would be in that position. So actual questions 1. Do you think I am just being paranoid 2. Do you think Sony will move to a subscription model that includes new games. Thanks Keith

Hey Shane. What is your video game kryptonite? For me it’s racing games or racing in games. I can’t tell you the number of times I failed racing missions in GTA and Sleeping Dogs. The later put my Platinum Trophy quest in the bin

If you had all the time in the world, which video game would you go deep on?

Are you a coffee drinker? If so, what do you drink and or use? I've been thinking of picking up a Keurig, but not sure if it'd be worth it for me as I don't drink coffee that much but want a cup once in awhile in the morning. Just curious as to your thoughts.

Hi Shane, sorry this isn't a very interesting question but I was curious to know if you've really enjoyed any fan-games? I really love both AM2R and the Streets of Rage Remake but they never got that much coverage by mainstream journalists. Do you think a fan-game could ever really 'break out' and become a big sensation or would the publishers find a way to prevent this from happening (like AM2R being banned from the Game Awards in 2016). Also, would you like to see more publishers recruit fan-game creators to make something official, such as the team behind Sonic Mania?

Hi, Shane - Seeing as how amazing the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo was, we still need to keep in mind that this game won’t be released anytime soon. What do you think about game developers’ strategies on when and how to market games ahead of their release?

Hi Shane Jerry's can of whoopass inc here. My question has to do with dlc in fighting games esp since soul calibur 6 putting a old character behind DLC. Then theres blazblue cross tag battle with half its roster behind dlc. Do u see any big changes coming in a sense that they lay back on so much dlc characters behind paywalls. Another crazy example is doa 5 7 season pass all 100 dollars all previous dlc from the game prior 70 to 100 dollars (I forget). I know since capcom posted off its community with 4 different versions of street fighter 4 and 2 different versions of marvel vs capcom 3. Now we get only one version of the game. Thank god. I just find it crazy with arch, bandai, team ninja, snk and of course capcom ask so much for all this DLC with of course ton of dlc.

What is harder for you in reference to the site, collecting content from everywhere and sorting it, or putting together the original programming?

What is your favorite game and/or favorite game series of all time?

What game genres were you not a fan of say 5 to 10 years ago, that you're more inclined to try now. And in those genres, what are some games that you enjoyed that changed your mind and made you decide to give the genre more of a chance?

Recently, Batman has been done justice by WB & Telltale and now Insomniac’s Spider-Man is about to drop and it’s looking good so far. We know an Avengers game is being worked on by Square Enix, but I want to know, what superhero do you think should get a game next and what devs would you assign to bring that vision to life?
