Pachter Factor Questions Time!

After years of mostly trading in similar patterns Take Two has broken out from EA and Activision. Thoughts?

Does one of the major gaming companies (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) have any sort of console production advantage going into FY21?

How does Microsoft and Sony defend against console scalping?

How do equity purchases of developer studios by publishers and hardware manufacturers work? Can the buyer issue new stock for the transaction? What kind of shareholder approval, if any, is necessary? How are intangible assets like key staff valued? Does an equity transaction add a premium to the price?

What’s your take on all the recent gaming related IPOs? Unity, Roblox, Skillz etc. Unity especially seems to have the highest valuation for a western company.

Hi Pach, Happy holidays. it's the end of 2020, predict me 2021. Which company will sell more consoles? Will Luna or Stadia get traction? What game will sell big? Will Microsoft get a system seller exclusive? Will there be a developer to strike gold like Epic with Fortnite? Will i get a PS5 ;-) And what do you wish for the gaming industry in 2021.

There was a report that the largest inventory of next gen consoles in Europe belonged to a scalping group. Do you think console manufacturers and game retailers should do more to stop the scalping of their products? For the retailers, they likely don't care because the product is being sold. But if the resale price of this systems are too high, that's a loss of service sales (PSN, Xbox Live) and games. What are your thoughts on this?

Zoom / Teams / whatever, Kinect, Covid, missed opportunity?
