Good gosh has a lot of stuff happened since we last took questions for Pachter Factor! Bring your A game as competition to make the show is going to fierce.

Questions should be easy. We've got Microsoft buying Activison/Blizzard, PlayStation buying Bungie, all the sales results for the holidays, PlayStation launching 10 games as a service in the next four years, Call of Duty console exclusivity, and so much more.

As always, remember to ask questions that are relevant now and some that will still be interesting a few weeks from now. Feel free to leave your questions in the comment section below. Thank you so much for taking the time. Without you there is no Pachter Factor.

Hi Pach, currently Europe only has one major video game publisher on the whole continent, Ubisoft, when compared to other places or even countries like Japan (Capcom, Bandai Namco, etc.) and the U.S. (EA, Take-Two, etc.). Do you think that any other publisher in the region like THQ Nordic will try to become bigger and compete with these other publishers? Could CD Projekt even attempt the same thing considering they own their own online store? Thanks again, love the show.

Dear Pac, I know Sony not scared of Xbox and I know as a gamer Sony is almost established like Nintendo minus the Mascots. With thar said is it right for game journalists to blow this out of proportion? Plus some game stores to Say not to buy the ps5 and get a Xbox instead? Yes Activision and Bethesda have a ton of great titles and and a cave that would make smog envious of dormant ips, but this just makes them popular in America. Japan will always side with Japanese consoles. Europe I'm not to knowledgeable. What do you see Sony. Also side question and request We know Japanese companies won't sell to American companies so do you see Sony throwing money at the 4 brands in Japan that being sega, capcom, Konami and platinum games? Request Teach us about about scotch I used to love those bonus segments

Sony recently announced that the chip shortage is having a major impact on their profits. Outside of making more chips, is there anything they can do to raise their revenue or do they have to just ride out the shortage?

Hey Pach! It's been mentioned that just a few years ago, Activision released almost 50 games a year and then 2021 they released 3 games. Did this change in business model backfire on the company and lead to their purchase?

Sony doesn't have the $$$ for that

Hey Pach! There's been a lot of talk about these big acquisitions happening as a result of inflation and that these consolidating forces won't slow down anytime soon. Can you explain this process and the reasoning behind it?

Hey Pach! Do you think Tencent will be able to continue their acquisition spree, or has the Chinese political environment really inhibited their plans in recent months?

Since Sony bought bungie I hear that Sony could be buying EA In the future. If they can get the money it would make sense since they want to get into multiplayer and live service games like with apex. Do you think Sony buying EA would make sense?

Hey Pach, I'm no longer young and I don't have the time to stalk stocking status of silly consoles. Why don't retailers do simple pre-pay wait lists for consoles? Just take my money and send me one when they come in.
