Right now the Surface lineup has nothing on the desktop besides the Surface Studio, so I'm also surprised they haven't done this already. It seems like a no-brainer for Microsoft to make a platinum or rose gold or whatever color case and call it a Surface Box. Add your own monitor, keyboard, and mouse like you would with a Mac mini and go.
