Monopole on idea might be a theoretical stand but this is not how the competition courts works. Monopole discussion are based on market share and on what the market is ... For example if the court say that the market is video games, the share of activision +microsoft is probably very small while if this is shooters the market share are very large and thus may be deemed as too large for a merge without conditions. COD is dominating shooters if this is only going on xbox only to me it would seem as a predatory buy where the goal is kind to put a competitor out of business. I do not see how it benefit the market. Gaming is booming and we have less and less game and already very sequalized... It is becoming fast very centralized.... To me this is not about a business of idea if you have to risk tens of millions just to start competing... but the problems comes when all the winners merge together...
