I have a steamdeck. I have a couple reasons for having one. I switched to apple a couple years ago so I lost access to my games. Also I always bring it with me when I am not staying at home. The steamdeck was a godsend post-surgery when I was in bed for 2-3 weeks... I ended up playing much more pc games than before and I have no interest of owning a switch... Also the Steamdeck might play 4k new games but mostly at 720p (even when outputing to tvs). So if new switch is weaker, it will not be able to run much! I really command Valve for their partnership with ifixit. I broke my screen and was able to replace it for 100 bucks really easily instead of buying a new console!
