Delays...

An update on things, because I've been silent.
So, first things first: there will be two releases this week. The New Girl on Saturday at the current pace, and Mistress Amber...when it's done. This should really be what I say when there's a delay, unless I am 100% sure that editing is all that's needed.
In future, I'm not going to give a date when I have to delay something. The writing has been going well, but see, I don't really plan things out to the letter. I tend to have a mental overview of a chapter, but the details can change once the writing kicks in.
In this case, the delay has been that what seemed a simple matter - getting to around 8k words and editing it - has instead become something closer to 10k, because I didn't feel the scenes were done justice. There's a lot of action in this fourth chapter, given that it's a lot heavier on the smut than the story, and so it's taken me longer than my hopeful Tuesday.
Again, in future, going forwards, I won't give a date. Tuesday seemed fine on Sunday, but by Tuesday, seemed an impossibility. Lesson learned, and I apologise for getting anyone's hopes up, haha!
But nonetheless, plenty to look forward to.
