Public Release: Alpha 44

Another month, another batch of lewds and adventures!

Before I get to this month's content, let me address something you'll notice as soon as you open the file: Yes, the color scheme is different. People have brought up again how they were having trouble with the "bright" scheme of before, and apparently how Twine builds the file with CSS even gives difficulties with trying to use local overrides. So I've decided to switch DW to a "dark" color scheme by default. This also necessitated messing with the font a bit.

The color scheme and general style is very much a work in progress and I'm still working on tweaking it. I apologize if it's jarring for some people but hopefully I'll find the right combination as I go along, I'm basically tweaking it every week at this point. (Hey, the game's in alpha for a reason, gotta expect these sorts of things.) That said, I'm also attaching a zip file to this post with a Twine 1 file inside it. This file shares the same settings and CSS style as the current Devious World release does. If you or someone you know is good with CSS and would like to tweak it or completely rewrite it to something better, please feel free and upload it to a file sharer and let me know in the comments, or send it to me on Discord if you're there. There's also a text copy of the style sheet for reference. If you or someone you know is willing to write a better one, I'll absolutely credit you in the game.

Anyway! Now let's get to the actual content updates:

• Main: Cyan can go see Errana again after her little interlude with her and Svarog.
• Main: Gwyn can now resist taking anything from Liam's hidden treasure trove. He can also show his interest in the bonfire party after stealing the pendant.
• Main: Cyan can lay low after overhearing her parents' plans to hook up.
• Main: Cyanide can now trade Sabine the Appearance Change Potion in return for grouping up.
• Main: Monk Cyan can now stick with Kovam's group.
• Main: Helen can now meet the principal instead of Katsuko.
• Main: Cyan can now "sample" MILK Duds at Tandy's Candy.
• Main: Vidya Witch Cyan can now show mercy (sort of) to "Chocola the elf". The Chocola paths are going to be the first time (outside of Capture) I've decided to make branches converge back together, at least in the training sim areas. I don't intend to do this very often, but for this area it felt like it made more sense.
• Main: Eric-as-Cypher-in-Jeanne's-body (whew) can now elect to wait for rescue.
