Incremental tomorrow evening
Added 2017-11-11 17:04:59 +0000 UTCI got torpedoed again a few times this week, so rather than put out another lackluster incremental, I'm just going to delay it until tomorrow evening and spend most of today and tomorrow working on it. Weekly tabletop group will have to do without me.
I actually really miss the days when I was employed and had long stretches of time to do nothing but write while I was at the office. Now that I'm self-employed, people really don't give a shit about interrupting me or asking me to do things during when I have scheduled to write. I think they understand the general concept that I'm now self-employed and write for a living... but since their minds don't register it as "real work", they have far less compunctions about interrupting me, requesting help with moving stuff, and in general just making nuisances of themselves.
(This is like 99% a meatspace phenomenon. I'll let you make your own assumptions as to what all this refers to without going into details.)
Anyway. Weekends are usually at least a little bit less full of these sorts of interruptions, so I should be able to get a fair bit done today and tomorrow. Sorry for the ramble/excuses, hopefully a batch of pervy/transformy goodness will make up for it.

As someone in a similar situation, what worked for me was enforcing the rule of a work schedule and creating a separate space that was my office. This allowed a mental distinction for myself and others in my life that eventually caused everything to work out mostly without a fuss. There were a couple people where I had to provide "gentle" reminders of "I'm trying to work, can you not (disruptive behavior here) for a couple more hours?"

I'm just ecstatic when I see an email from Patreon that you've added a new version and sad that I don't have as much time to enjoy your writing as I would like because of my own work obligations. Do what you can, if you can, and if you want to!
