The finals came down to 2 Cold Scorpio and Shane Douglas with Shane Douglas winning the match. After the match Douglas cuts a legendary promo and throws the NWA belt on the ground. He says the NWA is dead and crowns himself the ECW World Heavyweight Champion. The aftermath is crazy as Todd Gordon folds NWA ECW and in its place is Extreme Championship Wrestling! Also on the show Tommy Dreamer loses a Singapore Caning Match against The Sandman and has to take 10 shots to the back! This moment made Tommy Dreamer’s entire career!

It's often a convenient option, but it's rarely going to be your first choice. And James may take my side bread away for saying this, but I grew up with Lexington-style (pulled, shoulder-only, sweet sauce) barbecue and I think I'd give it the edge over Eastern-style...not down with the red slaw, though.

Such people as Tajiri, Steven Regal, Jim Neidhart, Tarzan Goto, Tommy Cairo, Al Snow, and many others. It's a fascinating group of defense but they were sometimes months in between. It would be a fun list for the boys to read on the pod.

Each focused on what it meant to be a star in the given eras. The original focused on the sexual exploitation of the 70s, Pearl was focused on being on stage, and Maxxxine focused on the 80s VHS boom. At the same time, this was also a HUGE time for the Giallo flicks, and this blatantly followed a lot of those tropes (black-gloved killer, stabbings, a murder mystery, etc.).
