Wip Trait 👀

I’ve been working on the trait “movie lover” for some time now. This trait uses the 34 movies in the game combining two packs “growing together expansion pack”, which has 24 movies (rabbit hole) and “movie hangout stuff pack”, which has 10 movies (tv).

This trait will be for child sims to elder. For child sims, I’ve given them 12/34 movies only because I felt it would be kinda boring once the child ages up and you’ve had this kid watch all the movies, if that makes sense 😂

There’s some bonus wants outside of watching movies like discussing interest, eat popcorn, cuddle while watching a movie (want for teens to elders), read book under bed (want for child sims, where they’ll admit their deep dark secret that the book was better lmaoo), video call about movie.. etc.

I challenged myself this time to add a buff to the wants. I don’t know how to create my own social interactions for now, but here’s an example of the want:

Once the sim completes the want, they’ll get this buff. It took me hours to figure out how to add a moodlet to appear after the want completed. Here it is:

I hope to create more traits like this in the future with wants being the centre focus of course. I love playing with wants in my game and if you watch my LPs you would know how interesting playing with wants gets🤭.

Below, I’ve attached more pics of wants. I’ve moved the date for this mod to be out very soon with 1 week early access for now. I am Canadian, so my spelling may be different, but I have changed it to make it American spelling* (once I catch it in game ofc 😂)

I hope my next post will be that the mod is out. I have moved the date to early August now that I know how to add moodlets. If I didn’t, I would have released this mod without moodlets. The game already adds a lot for movies, but I’m thinking of adding it for the extra stuff (example: child sims will get a want to imitate a movie scene by playing in the park or in the treehouse, so maybe I’ll add a special buff for those moments) 🥰🫶🏾🫶🏾
