January 2024 update: tier system and written reviews

Hi!! Just wanted to give everyone an update on some changes to my Patreon page, specifically planned content and the new tier system.

Previously the tier system consisted of two tiers, with $5 tier supporters having their name read out at the end of videos. As of now, this has been reduced to one tier. Currently, all patrons will receive the same benefits regardless of how much you pledge. This includes:

• ad-free and uncensored videos
• your name in the credits of each video
• access to all posts here on Patreon, including any potential future polls

At the moment, the “getting your name read out by a big dumb idiot” benefit has been axed. My current living situation doesn’t always allow me to bust out my microphone and comfortably record this segment, which would mean videos getting delayed just so I can read a couple dozen names out, so I’m not sure it’s worth the effort (though this may return in the future). There also aren’t really any other major benefits I can currently offer without taking time away from actually making videos, or at least not any benefits I consider worth people paying upwards of five bones for, so that tier has been unpublished.

If you’re not a fan of this change, I totally understand - feel free to edit or even cancel your pledge. No judgement here, you’re all good :D

However, I have also been thinking about offering something else, as you may have heard me discuss in my latest update video. I would love the opportunity to write and publish written reviews for some games, so while there’s no promises just yet, I think a fun idea might be putting those reviews here and making them exclusive to Patreon for at least a few weeks. Turns out making a Racclog video for every game I play is exhausting, so this would be the next best thing, and I need something to keep my fingers busy whenever I step away from my desk and jump onto my laptop or iPad that isn’t TikTok or Twitter. So mmmmm we’ll see!
