So not only is Mel (hi, Mel!) reading through drafts to make sure I know how to use a comma properly (I really don't), she's also checking all of the weird creatures I bring in, geographical data, etc. I still screw up, but those screw ups are all on me.
Today, as I was going through Mel's notes on the second draft of this chapter, she asked, "I assume you double checked to see if they have a Dunkin' in Providence?" Now, as I've stated, I've never been to Rhode Island. I've been to Massachusetts and I've been to Maine, though. They have Dunkin' like we have Starbucks. (Can we trade, Rhode Island?) So I laughed, googled Dunkin's in Providence, RI and sent Mel a screen shot of the map. It's a dense patch of little red pins showing SO MANY DUNKIN' DONUTS. It's impressive.
Anyway, new chapter up. I'm currently revising Curses for my editor, which means I am very grouchy. I hate revisions. So necessary, so painful. I hope you all are well.
