230 What, the enemy is Kronos?

How could Katakuri possibly remain calm?

His breathing grew heavy.

If it were any other famous powerhouse, perhaps Katakuri wouldn’t have paid much attention—unless it was someone like an Admiral or one of the Four Emperors. Only such beings could make him hesitate.

But the problem was... the opponent this time was Kronos!

If only Kronos’ subordinates had come, perhaps they could have considered escaping.

“Yeah! Retreat is the only option now! If we don’t leave soon, it’ll be too late!”

Katakuri nodded.

The order to retreat was given immediately.

“All ships—retreat!”

“Under no circumstances are we to engage the Kamui Pirates!”

“Otherwise...”

Katakuri trailed off.

But everyone understood what he meant.

Right now...

The Kamui Pirates were powerful beyond imagination.

Their combined combat strength was comparable to three, perhaps even four Yonko combined!

What’s worse, two-thirds of the Charlotte Family’s strength remained on Whole Cake Island. They hadn’t been deployed for this mission.

Their core combat power—Charlotte Linlin herself—was not with them.

That meant if anything happened here, they were finished. Even their greatest backer, Big Mom herself, couldn’t save them in time!

Just as Katakuri and the others decided to retreat, afraid to engage the Kamui Pirates...

They forgot one simple fact.

Since they had detected the Kamui Pirates...

The Kamui Pirates had also detected them.

In fact, the Kamui Pirates had noticed their presence before they had noticed theirs.

Now, aboard the Kamui Pirates’ ship, the crew waited eagerly.

Several crew members were already itching to attack.

For them, this wasn’t just a battle.

It was fun—and an opportunity to prove themselves.

Albedo in particular wanted to rush forward and capture everyone who dared stand against the Kamui Pirates.

“A bunch of insects... Who gave them the courage to parade in front of us?” she sneered.

The more Albedo thought about it, the more eager she was to strike.

But to everyone’s surprise...

At that moment, the always battle-hungry Uchiha Madara spoke up.

“I’ll say this upfront,” Madara said calmly. “I’m not planning to fight this time.”

“Not for any special reason.”

“It’s just... those guys aren’t worth my time.”

“Fighting them would be pointless. A complete waste of energy.”

Madara’s tone was serious.

From the start, he had sensed it.

Katakuri and the others simply weren’t at the level of Whitebeard.

In Madara’s eyes, none of them were worthy opponents.

So he couldn’t be bothered.

He’d rather go take a nap.
