With the crowd finally dispersed, the group set off towards David Shield's laboratory. Melissa led the way, her scooter zipping through the I-Island pathways. All Might and Izuku followed closely, their conversation a mix of friendly banter and eager anticipation. Ace and Asahi brought up the rear, observing the bustling environment and the cutting-edge technology on display.

The lab was a large, modern facility, its glass walls offering glimpses of complex machinery and cluttered workstations. Melissa parked her scooter and ushered the group inside, swiping her ID card to grant them access.

"Dad should be in his main workshop," Melissa announced, leading them down a long corridor lined with posters and diagrams. "He's probably buried under a mountain of blueprints, as usual."

As they approached the workshop, the sounds of hammering and whirring grew louder. Melissa pushed open the door, revealing a scene of organized chaos. David Shield, a tall man with light brown hair and glasses perched on his nose, stood hunched over a workbench, surrounded by tools and equipment.

"Dad, we're here!" Melissa called out, her voice cutting through the noise.

David looked up, a wide smile spreading across his face as he spotted All Might. "Toshinori! It's been too long, my friend!" he exclaimed, rushing forward to embrace the towering hero.

All Might returned the hug with equal enthusiasm, clapping David on the back. "David, my old friend! You haven't changed a bit, except maybe a few more gray hairs."

The two old friends fell into easy conversation, their laughter filling the room. Melissa smiled, clearly delighted to see them reunited. After a few minutes, All Might turned to introduce the others.

"Young Midoriya, let me introduce you to one of my best friends, David Shield."

Izuku's eyes widened behind his mask, his muttering intensifying. "I know! The leading scientist in Quirk research, recipient of the Novel Quirk Prize, and the mind behind countless support items!" Izuku blurted out, practically vibrating with excitement. "You designed all of All Might's costumes when you were partners in America!"

Izuku really knows a lot concerning Quirks. Ace thought.

David chuckled, amused by Izuku's enthusiasm. "Well, I did have a hand in crafting a few of Toshinori's outfits back in the day." He smiled at Izuku. "It's a pleasure to meet a fan."

"It is an honor!" Izuku bows to David

David's gaze shifted, landing on Ace and Asahi, who stood a bit apart from the group. "And who might these two be?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with curiosity.

Melissa stepped forward, a bright smile on her face. "Dad, this is Ace, a friend I met in Musutafu," she explained, gesturing towards Ace. "And this is Asahi, another friend."

David's eyes widened slightly as he looked at Ace, a flicker of recognition in his gaze. "Ace, is it? Melissa has told me quite a bit about you," he said, extending a hand towards Ace. "She mentioned a quirkless friend who helped her out back in Musutafu."

Ace shook David's hand firmly, a polite smile on his face. "The pleasure's all mine, Mr. Shield," he replied smoothly. "Your daughter is quite the remarkable young woman."

"And you're the one who spurred her on to try becoming a hero, correct?" David continued, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Before Ace could answer, All Might's booming voice interrupted, "Melissa, you're aiming to be a hero? Why didn't you tell me?" He gave a hearty laugh.

Melissa flushed crimson, her gaze darting away from All Might's piercing blue eyes. "It's nothing, Uncle Might," she mumbled, fiddling with her glasses. "I'm still working on it, and don't know if I can still be a hero."

All Might's expression softened, a touch of fatherly concern creeping into his features. "Melissa, you know that I would support you in whatever you choose to do," he said gently. "I'm just a little sad that you didn't think to share this with me."

Melissa's cheeks flushed crimson under All Might's attentive gaze, a mixture of embarrassment and gratitude swirling within her. "Thanks, Uncle Might," she murmured, finally meeting his eyes. "It means a lot to hear you say that."

Izuku stepped forward, his green eyes sparkling with admiration. "Shield-san, it's really amazing that you're aiming to be a hero, even without a Quirk," he said, his voice filled with genuine respect. "I think it's incredibly inspiring." Izuku added, but didn't mention that he himself was once Quirkless.

"Thanks, Midoriya-san," Melissa said, smiling at him. "It's not easy, but I'm determined to find a way to make a difference."

All Might coughed suddenly, his hand flying to his mouth. David's eyes darted towards his old friend, a knowing look passing between them. David clapped his hands together, breaking the brief moment of awkwardness.

"Well then, Melissa, how about you take these three youngsters and show them around the I-Expo?" David suggested, his voice jovial. "I'm sure they'd love to see all the latest inventions and innovations."

Melissa blinked, momentarily surprised by the sudden change of subject. But she quickly understood, realizing her father was trying to give All Might a moment to rest. "Sure, Dad," she replied, nodding. "I'd be happy to."

Turning to Izuku, Ace, and Asahi, Melissa gestured towards the door. "Come on, guys, let's go see what I-Expo has to offer," she said, her enthusiasm returning. "I've got a few favorite exhibits I want to show you."

Ace, Asahi, and Izuku followed Melissa as she led them out of the workshop and back into the bustling corridors of I-Island. All Might and David watched them go, their expressions a mixture of pride and concern.

Melissa led the trio through the sprawling I-Expo, a kaleidoscope of flashing lights, futuristic displays, and excited chatter. Izuku and Asahi, practically vibrating with excitement, were immediately captivated by the exhibits. They darted from one display to another, peppering Melissa with questions about the technology, the science behind it, and its potential applications.

"This support gear is incredible!" Izuku exclaimed, his notebook already open as he scribbled furiously. "Imagine the possibilities for enhancing Quirks! The hero applications!"

Asahi, equally enthralled, tested out a device that simulated various Quirk abilities, his eyes widening with each new power. "Amazing!" he shouted, grinning from ear to ear. "I wish I could experience each of those Quirks, even for a bit!"

Melissa, her face alight with passion, expertly explained the intricacies of each invention, her knowledge and enthusiasm infectious. She walked them through exhibits showcasing enhanced mobility gear, energy absorption technology, and even experimental Quirk amplification devices. Izuku and Asahi hung on her every word, absorbing the information like sponges.

Ace, however, remained relatively quiet. He observed the exhibits with a detached interest, his gaze sweeping over the technology, but he didn't engage with the same fervor as his companions. He didn't ask questions, didn't try out the devices, and didn't seem particularly impressed by the innovations on display.

After a while, as Izuku and Asahi were engrossed in testing a new type of grappling hook, Melissa turned to Ace, a hint of concern in her eyes. "Don't you like the exhibits, Ace?" she asked, her voice soft. "I thought you'd be more interested, especially since you care about helping others."

Ace shrugged, his expression unreadable. "They're impressive," he conceded, his tone neutral. "But I'm fine with just looking at them. I'm not one for playing around with gadgets."

Melissa frowned slightly, sensing that there was more to his disinterest than he was letting on. "Is everything alright?" she pressed gently. "You seem a little distant."

Ace met her gaze, a flicker of warmth crossing his face. "I'm fine, Melissa," he assured her, his voice softening. "Just observing. Besides," he added, a hint of a smile playing on his lips, "I enjoy spending time with you, even if it's just walking around."

A blush crept onto Melissa's cheeks, her heart skipping a beat at his words. She found herself drawn to his quiet strength, his calm demeanor, and his genuine concern for others. There was something about him that intrigued her, something that went beyond the surface.

"I enjoy spending time with you too, Ace," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "You're a good friend."

As they walked side-by-side, their shoulders brushing occasionally, a comfortable silence settled between them. Melissa found herself opening up to Ace, sharing her dreams and aspirations, her fears and insecurities. He listened intently, offering words of encouragement and support, his presence a comforting anchor in the bustling expo.

They strolled hand in hand, and the scene was like a dream.

Meanwhile, Izuku, after finally managing to pry himself away from the grappling hook exhibit, scanned the crowd, searching for his friends from Class 1-A. His eyes lit up as he spotted a familiar group near a display showcasing sonic weaponry.

"Jiro! Uraraka! Yaoyorozu!" he called out, waving excitedly.

The three girls turned, their faces breaking into smiles as they recognized him. Jiro, with her signature earphone jacks, raised a hand in greeting. Uraraka, her cheeks flushed with excitement, bounced over to him. And Yaoyorozu, ever composed, offered a polite nod.

"Midoriya-kun! What are you doing here?" Uraraka asked, her voice bubbling with energy.

Melissa approached Izuku, her curiosity piqued by the familiar faces. "Izuku, do you know them?" she asked, her voice carrying a gentle lilt.

"Oh, right!" Izuku exclaimed, his face beaming. "Melissa, these are my classmates from U.A. High School: Ochaco Uraraka, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Kyoka Jiro." He gestured towards each of them in turn, his enthusiasm bubbling over.

Jiro and Momo, recognizing Ace from the stadium during the U.A. Sports Festival, offered polite greetings. "Hello, Ace-san," Jiro said, her voice a touch reserved. Momo added, "It has been a while since our paths crossed. We didn't see you again since the UA Festival."

Ace responded with a nod and a warm smile. "It's good to see you both again," he replied, "It has indeed been a while." He'd tried to keep a low profile after the festival, but the faces of Class 1-A were hard to forget.

Asahi, eager to be included, chimed in, "I'm Asahi! Hikaru Asahi! I'm also at U.A., but I'm in the General Education course. I didn't expect students from the Hero course to be here!" He gave an enthusiastic wave, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

Melissa, sensing a natural camaraderie among the group, clapped her hands together. "Well, since we're all here," she suggested, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm, "how about we head to a cafΓ© for some tea? I know a great place just around the corner, with the best pastries on I-Island!"

The suggestion was met with enthusiastic agreement, and the group of seven set off towards the nearest cafe.
