Gotchard in DC Ch 29

Pulsating red flames danced around the gash, cauterizing the flesh and halting the bleeding. Seemingly impervious to pain, a ferocious grin stretched across Dimax's face, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth.
"I didn't expect that besides this Kryptonian," Dimax spoke, its voice a low, guttural growl, "there would actually be a warrior who could harm Dimax."
Kara, having sent the gray-skinned woman flying with a powerful punch, watched as she slowly regained her composure and floated back into the fray. As the woman approached, a cold, female voice with a strange, almost alien accent echoed across the desolate landscape.
"Dimax? Who exactly are you, and why are you attacking us?" Kara demanded, turning her attention to the floating woman. She had just punched away a humanoid figure composed of light purple energy that had attempted to ambush her. Kara glared at the gray-skinned woman, who watched her with an amused expression.
"I am Dyna King. Hmm, it seems Paradise Flower can’t handle you alone. Parrelles, you go too." Dyna King announced, stating her name with an air of authority. Her eyes scanned Dimax, who was once again locked in combat with Isaac, before settling on Kara. She nodded thoughtfully, then gestured towards the green lizard-headed monster, Parrelles.
Hearing Dyna King's command, Parrelles, who had been content to observe the battle from the sidelines, finally sprang into action. It slowly opened its mouth, and a thick, emerald-green mist began to billow forth, rapidly spreading across the battlefield and enveloping everything in its path.
"This is… poison?!" Isaac exclaimed, his voice laced with alarm.
The purifying power inherited from the Unicon Chemy activated automatically, causing red flames to erupt around Isaac’s armored form. Fighting Dimax with a series of agile maneuvers, he instantly recognized the nature of the encroaching green mist.
Dodging a swipe from Dimax's razor-sharp claws with a swift donkey roll, Isaac raised the Gotchartornado and repeatedly pulled the trigger. The power of the Apparebushido Chemy surged through the weapon, and a volley of energy slashes shot towards Dimax's back.
[SunUnicorn Fever!]
[Tornado Arrow!]
With a fluid motion, Isaac slammed the Gotchartornado into the barren ground. He rapidly pumped the lever on the Gotchard Driver, channeling his energy, then formed his hands into a spherical shape before his chest. A blazing red fireball, crackling with purifying energy, began to coalesce between his palms.
He raised the fireball towards the sickly sky, clenched his right fist, and unleashed it with a powerful swing, sending the sphere of purifying energy soaring high into the air. He then yanked the Gotchartornado from the ground and pulled its lever three times in quick succession.
The power of the Apparebushido Chemy surged once more, transforming into a brilliant arrow of light that hurtled upwards. The light arrow struck the fireball in the sky with pinpoint accuracy, and the sphere erupted in a magnificent explosion, scattering purifying energy in all directions.
Specks of brilliant light drifted down from the sky like a gentle rain. Upon contact with the purifying energy, the emerald-green poisonous mist dissipated, dissolving into harmless wisps.
Kara, who had been visibly affected by the poisonous mist, faint green marks appearing on her face, was instantly restored to her full strength. Her complexion cleared, and with renewed vigor, she effortlessly dodged Parrelles's extended vine arm.
However, Isaac's timely support came at a cost. He could feel the strain on his body, the pain of his earlier injuries exacerbated by the exertion of using his powers. Were it not for the Unicorn Chemy's rapid healing, he knew he would have already succumbed to the damage.
"Still in a stalemate? Wait, this is… I see."
Floating in the air, Dyna King had been closely observing the unfolding battle. She suddenly realized something was amiss.
The battlefields of Kara, Paradise Flower, and Parrelles, as well as Isaac and Dimax, seemed to be drifting, moving further and further away from their original positions, as if being deliberately drawn away.
Her gaze shifted towards the spot where Isaac and the others had initially stood. Her eyes landed on Rachel, who was frantically urging the group of tourists to move away from the area.
She then turned to look at Isaac and the two combatants, who had drawn their battle far away from the evacuating civilians. A playful smirk appeared on Dyna King's face, and it gradually widened into a truly malevolent grin.
"Damn it, we’ve been discovered!" Isaac exclaimed, dodging a wild haymaker from Dimax with a desperate side roll. His eyes darted to the side, and he couldn't help but feel a jolt of alarm. He saw Dyna King hurtling towards Rachel and the evacuating tourists.
"Your opponent is me!"
Acting on instinct, Isaac raised the Gotchartornado and pulled the lever, preparing to unleash another energy arrow. But just as he fired, Dimax moved with surprising speed, intercepting the attack and blocking the arrow’s path.
"Damn it, you stupid, ugly cat!" Isaac cursed, watching as his attack left only a shallow white mark on Dimax's armored hide. He didn't relent, however. He frantically pulled the trigger of the Gotchartornado, unleashing a barrage of more than ten energy slashes at point-blank range.
The force of the energy slashes created a powerful vortex, stirring up clouds of smoke and dust. A moment later, Isaac burst from the swirling chaos, his body wreathed in crimson flames, charging after Dyna King with every ounce of speed he could muster.
The close-range attack had caught Dimax off guard, dealing a significant amount of damage, but it had also taken a toll on Isaac. He ignored the pain searing through his body, forcefully urging the Unicorn Chemy’s healing flames to mend his wounds as quickly as possible. He gritted his teeth, channeling the pain into his determination.
He had to be faster, even faster. Rachel was still in danger.
Kara, too, had noticed Dyna King's change in target. Her super brain, processing information at an accelerated rate, quickly grasped Dyna King's intentions.
Without hesitation, Kara seized the vine arm that was wrapped around her. With a powerful heave, she yanked Parrelles forward, pulling the lizard-headed monster off balance. Kara’s anxious, enraged fist shot out, landing with devastating force on Parrelles's jaw.
The force of the blow created a small explosion, the shockwave rippling outwards. Parrelles was sent flying, and the vines constricting Kara were torn apart.
Ignoring Paradise Flower, who was stunned by this sudden burst of power, Kara vanished from her original position. A moment later, a deafening sonic boom echoed across the desolate landscape.
Dyna King, who had been leisurely flying towards the fleeing tourists, also noticed Isaac and Kara giving chase. Seeing Kara create sonic booms with her flight, Dyna King quickly accelerated, her figure descending like a streak of crimson-gray lightning.
Dyna King bypassed Rachel, instead locking onto a young girl of about ten years old. The girl was walking beside Rachel, tightly clutching her mother’s hand, her eyes wide with fear.
The fleeing tourists had seen Dyna King and Kara flying, and now they knew that the young girl was the target. The tourists quickened their pace.
