Aviodora [Dev Update #1 - NPCs]

Dear All,

First of all, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support I’ve received over the past few months, especially in January. Your encouragement, kind words, feedback, and suggestions mean the world to me! ❤️

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on a new update for Aviodora. I’ve received feedback that Aviodora feels empty. While I don’t have a complete solution due to game limitations (such as dumb Sims AI and poor optimization on EA’s part), the next update will introduce new background NPCs that can be activated. Instructions and tutorials will be included with the update.

Unfortunately, I’ve fallen slightly behind schedule due to some minor setbacks, but I still plan to release the update in the coming days. But enough talking—let me show you what I’ve been working on for you!

#1 Bug Fixes:

Thanks to Kiasims' awesome livestream and later video, I've fixed missing icons from the Hostel check-in, added some missing strings and fixed a bug where the Red Light House interactions finished in seconds when Sims used a bike.

#2 New Items in the World:

Added some new items to the world like parking meters, functional dumpsters*, canvases, mural paintings and functional fuse boxes (with collectible posters)

#3 New Features

When doing the check-in via phone, Sims can cancel the check-in process if the business or first class supplementary fee is too high
When vising the clothing store in Simffeil, Sims can use the mirror as an alternative way to "buy" clothes if you don't own the High School Years EP
Sims visiting Oasis Springs and Aviodora will receive a welcome message (similarly like in Strangerville)
Added information about the check-in for Hotel Art Déco
You can now check-out early from Hotel Art Déco via Booking.Sim
Added "Focus Camera On..." interaction to accommodations, thus it will be easier to locate them
Added Googloo.Sim (a new website that connects all websites, hence if you clicked on the wrong website, you can easily switch to the other)
Added new features to the World Control:
- Season Control: Change the season with a few clicks!
- Weather Control: Control the weather in Aviodora or choose a new custom weather type: Apocalyptic (with smog, thunder, high winds and lightning)
- NPC Control (more info down below)
Tutorials: Added tutorials to help you navigate through the mod as it can be overwhelming for the first time. For now I've completed these lessons for:

- Frequently Asked Questions

#4 Main Focus of the Post: NPCs

I've heard countless times that Aviodora is empty, feels lifeless etc. Unfortunately, EA has a stupid rule that only 20 sims can be on one lot (including household sims). Good news though, that rule can be overwritten with two options: if you own MCCC or if you do not own MCCC. Instructions and tutorials will come with the new update.

NPC Control has received a huge update. As you can see from the picture above, the new menu has three categories now instead of 1. You can activate Service Sims (like bartenders, dj etc), Background Sims (like Tourists, Gym Members etc.) or Open-Venues (like the nightclub).

Background Sims:
- Over 16 new NPC types have been added, these include:
  - Tourist
  - Red Light Tourist
  - Mural Painter
  - Basketballer
  - Arcade Goer
  - Librarian
  - Skater
  - DJ Audience
  - Karaoke Singer
  - Bubble Blower Fanatics
  - City Repair Personnel
  - Burglar
  - Chess Player
  - Bonfire Dancer
  - Cinema Guest
  - Gym Members
Open-Venue Control:
- Activate open-venues easily (will spawn multiple Sims):
  - Nightclub
  - Bars
  - Gym
  - Library
  - Arcade

#5 Reminders

Please note that the .world files need to be updated after each patch.
If you do not own a pack that's listed as good to have, but purchase it later, the game will automatically load the new objects which were missing from the mod
If you notice bugs, spelling errors, missing pictures, Last Exception errors etc. don't hesitate to contact me please so I can fix it asap!

Unfortunately, this update will be the last update for a couple of weeks (except patch updates) as I have to write my university thesis by the end of February.

However after graduation, I plan to release monthly updates to the mod, based on your feedback and my ideas.
