A place where jagged cliffs meet the relentless tides, the city was encircled by a deep-water moat and guarded by massive stone walls. It sat as a bastion of civilisation amid untamed wilderness and perilous seas. Its geometric design, arcane architecture, and imposing defences make it both a marvel and a mystery to those who beheld it. Its precise geometric shape, an anomaly against the rugged landscape, was no accident—crafted by ancient architects who wielded both magic and stone craft, the city’s very bones hum with arcane energy. Its towering walls, hewn from obsidian rock, stood as an unyielding bastion against both the ravages of nature and the ambitions of those who would seek to claim its power. Yet Thal’Duun remains impervious to most threats, both mortal and monstrous. It was more than stone and magic, it was a labyrinth of power and secrets, a place where destinies were woven, and where those who dared step within its walls soon learned—the city kept what it claimed.

Village of Norhaven

Beyond the city walls to the north, Norhaven sprawls across fertile fields. Farmers tend to crops and livestock, and a small militia ensures protection from forest beasts and raiders. The village ponds are a vital resource, feeding the irrigation canals that run through the fields. The windmills creak gently as they grind grain, their silhouettes serene against the northern sky.

Atmosphere and Daily Life

Thal’Duun is a city of both vibrant life and whispered danger. The constant presence of the Central Spire looms over all, a reminder of power both ancient and arcane. Markets overflow with goods from distant lands, and citizens go about their routines under the watchful eye of guards and magisters. At night, the glow from the Spire mixes with lantern light, casting dancing shadows across cobbled streets. Musicians play lively tunes at the inns, while mages practice subtle cantrips in the secluded corners of the Duskwind Borough. However, beneath the bustling life and vibrant colors, there’s an undercurrent of unease. Rumors of ancient curses and restless spirits circulate, and some claim to have seen ghostly apparitions near the Central Spire.
