Dragonheart was a novelty for its time (oo, Sean Connery! Real CGI dragons! π), but the script is still WAYYY more 90βs goofy than it had a right to be, then or now.. π€¦ββοΈ 1981βs βDragonslayerβ has been on streaming forever, just recently came out on Blu, and still gives us a realistic Celtic Dark Ages, and one of the nastiest dragons practical effects ever created. And itβs nice to see the Reactor-verse finally standing up to the righteous Woke-teen stigma and doing a 70βs Woody Allen: Thereβs been some Annie Hall and serious 80βs-Woody, but no oneβs yet gone down the silly mid-70βs rabbit hole. Not sure if Everything is the one to start with, as I always push for Love & Death, but you have to know your joke reference material for that one.
