Grasp of the Sheikah

All characters are depicted as over 18

A Dawn and Cynthia comic is in the works, I may release the first part soon if I can't get the whole thing ready for release quick enough.

Hey, present MandoHeights here, this image is super old, it was made in Gmod which means I made this like 2 years ago. But I ended up getting carried away with the story and never finished it. The story got way too big for one image. The image itself, isn't my best I admit, but I love Age of Calamity Impa.

Anyway I finally came back and finished the story, sooo enjoy some classic MandoHeights with a modern MandoHeights touch.

Impa had enough of feeling underappreciated and decided to show Hyrule the true power of ancient Sheikah techniques.

Grahh, definitely the longest story I've written so far. Definitely could've been a series instead of one image.

Story
Impa sliced through hordes of bokoblins, her and her illusory clones swiftly wedeled their numbers from hundreds down to only a handful until her blades were soaked in malice filled blood.

Meanwhile Hyrule's champions took on the rest of Ganon's horde. Zelda wasn't the greatest combatant but she was resourceful. She was in the midst of sneaking up on an enemy outpost and begun moving their own explosive barrels to create a perfect trap.

Impa spotted Zelda near the explosive and kicked into action, not stopping to think what Zelda could be thinking.

'Zelda! Get away from there!' Impa shouted, dashing towards Zelda.

'What are you doing?!' Zelda shouted back in a shocked confusion.

Impa's advance alerted the enemy camp to the two women's presence, preventing Zelda from setting off her trap. They were both left vulnerable and surrounded. But after a difficult battle, Impa managed to defeat her opponents while keeping Zelda safe.

'Phew that was close, are you safe Princess?' Impa asked with exhausted concern.

'Impa, what in the name of Hylia were you thinking?! I had it handled!'

'W- what? I was only trying to protect you Zelda...'

'Well all you did was almost get us killed, I am not a child, I am your princess and future queen! If I sneak towards the enemy, you should presume there is purpose behind my decision!' Zelda scolded Impa and walked off in a huff.

Though it had been said in a small moment of rage, these words would spell doom for Hyrule.

Impa was a bundle of emotions as she tried to process what just happened. Sure she had been a bit reckless, but she made up for her mistake, and she out of anyone had dealt the most damage to the enemies forces despite holding no title! Zelda's words rung in her ears, 'I am your princess and future queen!'... All the champions were being praised for their efforts, but Impa had only been reprimanded. Could Zelda really be looking down on her just because she was in a lower position? No no, Zelda wasn't like that, they were friends. Weren't they? Impa needed clarity, she went to go ask her friends what they thought. Link wouldn't be very talkative and Daruk hadn't joined in this battle Impa thought to herself. So she went to speak to Urbosa.

Impa approached Urbosa on her walk back to the camp 'Greetings Urbosa!' There was no response. 'That was impressive swordplay on the battlefield!'

'You should focus on your own battle, not your allies.' Urbosa responded, clearly directing a light jab at Impa's own performance.

'Ah, uh so you heard. I had the situation under contro-' Impa stopped as she noticed Urbosa rolling her eyes, which surprised and hurt Impa .

Urbosa glanced briefly at Impa as if she had been caught. 'Impa you're a great warrior. But your highest duty in battle was to protect Zelda. If you have any justifications there's no point in directing them to me.' Impa went quiet and looked forward before backing off after a moment.

Lady Urbosa wasn't wrong, but she had treated Impa like she was a nuisance! Also Urbosa said her duty was to protect Zelda? Was?? What else had Urbosa heard? Nono she's just being paranoid now. Impa needed to speak to someone she was closer to, someone warmer, so she headed towards Mipha next.

Mipha was always kind a great listener. Impa had always gotten along well with her. Well, Mipha got on with everyone! She was kind and understanding, exactly what Impa need right now. The two greeted each other and Impa started to talk. After a while Mipha had no interruptions so Impa kept going and started listing her grievances.

'-like even if I knew her plan was to use those explosives, surely as one of Zelda's protectors, I'm SUPPOSED to keep her away from explosives, right Mipha?' Impa ranted

'Mm mhm. Explosives are, dangerous.' Mipha was trying her best to focus on Impa but couldn't keep her eyes off Link who was ahead of them, soaked after climbing out of a lake he had jumped into for seemingly no reason.

Impa finally noticed Mipha's lack of attention. Impa gave her an unimpressed look and walked away. Impa understood Mipha had a fascination with Link, but right now she was having a hard time seeing it as anything other than disrespectful.

Impa continued to try and find reassurance, but she found none, even her sister Purah simply made fun of her. The commander of this army even pulled Impa aside and berated her for wanting more praise to fulfil her duty. With every passing comment Impa grew more distant to Zelda who ironically would've been the only person Impa could've spoken to to put her mind at ease. In truth Zelda felt ashamed with how she treated her friend but was still heated and had to continue to ride at the front of the group.

At this low moment, Ganon's forces sensed an opportunity. A Harbinger of Ganon noticed the rage building inside Impa and took advantage. It snuck up close, normally Impa would've sensed the danger but her mind was elsewhere. With a subtle touch, the Harbinger infected Impa with a special form of Ganon's malice. This magical poison sunk into Impa's blood and merged with her like an unnoticeable parasite.

The malice became one with Impa, she noticed a change, but not the malice. It enhanced her, her rage, her distrust and, her power.

Zelda admires the skill of Urbosa and Link

The king berates her for wanting more praise

Purah makes fun of her

Mipha ignores her by accident

'That's it. I can't believe I'm empathising with the Yiga clan, but these, morons don't realise just how powerful sheikah magic and technology can really be, and no sheikah out there is as skilled as me, so why should I be subservient to the weak?'

Impa pulled out an ancient scroll and a sheikah emblem made from sheikah tech.

'This once belonged to the great Monk Maz Koshia, I've studied him endlessly. With this I should gain total control over all mass in my body.'

Impa read out the incantation of the forgotten language, every word pronounced perfectly until Impa started to glow. She felt a great power course through her veins as the scroll disappeared.

'I feel, incredible.' a menacing smirk grew on Impa's face. She proceeded to try out one of her new techniques, growth. Instantly she shot up to twice her size.

'Hah. I butchered that technique, and I still grew this much. Hyrule has no idea what's coming to them... Wait can I really do this, though, this is craz-' Once more the strange malice coerced Impa's mind, and she became more vindictive than ever.

'Pfft, what am I saying, these people aren't my friends, they just use me like a tool and then my people are expected to bow to them. Well now they can bow to my boot.' Impa grew again, this time to 50 feet, and began marching to Hyrule Castle.

The forces of Hyrule Castle struggled to cause any damage against Impa at her new height. So when she then used her clone technique they had no choice but to call for reinforcements from the other provinces... But Impa was ready, she unleashed another ancient technique that took control of Hyrule's army of guardians. As a sheikah she had a good understanding of sheikah technology, but her new techniques and Ganon's influence allowed her total control. With Hyrule's armies now fighting themselves Impa personally took out the 4 divine beasts, pocketing the 4 champions as trophies. Even the hero wielding the Master Sword couldn't stop her. Link climbed Impa's legs, unleashed flurries of bombs and everything else he could muster. At this point of the long battle, Impa was exhausted, she couldn't maintain her clones anymore and Link had an ancient arrow aimed right at her head. But they had known each other for so long... Link hesitated, Impa didn't. Wanting his ex-friend to surrender he lowered his bow only for Impa to swat him away like a bug, breaking multiple of his bones so that the Hero was unable to fight any longer.

Everybody fought their hardest, but it meant nothing in the end... Impa conquered the whole of Hyrule on her own.

Impa stood up in triumph, looking around at the defeated armies. She placed the champions down on a tall pillar that barely reached her chest, they were completely stuck unless they wanted to fall to their deaths. She reduced her height to a more appropriate one of about 20 feet and walked inside Hyrule Castle.

She entered the throne room and looked King Rhoam dead in the eyes.

'I'll only ask this once. Get off my throne.'

King Rhoam looked up at Impa, keeping his usual tough composure.

'Impa, what you have done here is madness. Surrender yourself, and I shall make sure the Sheikah people take no blame for this situation. In fact they'll even be rewarded for their services. However what you've done here is monstrous, you have brought shame to your name and people. Hyrule will never bow to the likes of y- MMPH!'

Paying no attention to the King's words, Impa had walked forward and plopped her ass down on the throne. Trapping the King completely underneath her, and cracking the throne under her massive weight.

'Ouch, it's a bit pointy.'

Impa grew to double her current height, filling up the room whole and utterly muffling the King. The throne crumbled beneath her.

'That's better. Now then, everyone bow to the new Queen of Hyrule.' She said with a smirk.

King Rhoam's loyal guards that had scattered around the room, understood their helpless situation and fell to their knees. In unison they all shouted. 'All hail Queen Impa!'

Impa smiled, happy to finally have some validation. 'Good, now bring me the champions of Hyrule, my throne is... Disappointing, it could use armrests~'
