Discord Live!!

So the poll interest in Discord looks to be pretty positive with a whopping 78% of participants being interested in the Discord! So here ya guys go! The server is now live and can be reached through the following link:

Orientation

So we have a few channels already set up to get us started. If you have feedback or suggestions, hit up a moderator or post in the channel. This is brand new but I have significant confidence in my two moderators to make decisions. For now we only have a few channels and the ones posted are open access to everyone. It will not cost to join the Discord channel and it does not require Patreon access. 

Patreon does allow (supposedly) for me to pair Discord with Patreon. So for those who support on here, we will eventually probably have multiple channels for discussion based on Patreon support. This isn't me creating some hierarchical class system, it's mostly to give a separation between those who have experienced the current update (because they get early access) and those who haven't. I don't like the idea of having potential spoilers in the main chat window so there needs to be different channels. This seems like an easy way to do that and less maintenance on my moderators to deal with. Apparently, Patreon uses a bot to grant you access so if you drop your support, it's supposed to not allow access to those channels. So just a heads up if you notice some changes like that fairly quickly.

Let's be real: I'll probably fuck this up so any shenanigans and transitional glitches, you can blame me. My moderators actually know what they're doing around here!

Moderators

So for now, I've selected two moderators. If we need more, we'll do that as the need arises. I know some of you have expressed interest and I continue to take that interest seriously. However, to start, I'm rolling with two. I've selected these two guys because I consider them close friends and I've known them both for a lengthy period; far beyond the scope of my Patreon, the game, and internet nicknames. These guys know me pretty damn well--embarrassingly (spelled it right) so, and that's why I want them here. While you may see us tease each other and play some jokes, I can honestly say I'd probably walk through Hell for these two clowns.  They also have significant experience with Discord and they're not afraid to approach me directly about their concerns. I value them as equals and honestly consider their every suggestion.

If you missed the previous post, Blayke is now in a consistent role as my co-writer and helping me with story organization and planning. Jordyn on the other hand is a long-time fan of the game and one of my closest confidants. I also hope to have him eventually join the team consistently in some capacity but we'll have more on that later (hopefully). While he hasn't been publicly recognized, he was one of the first people that I bounced ideas off in the wee hours of the morning and I credit him for keeping me sane during some of the difficult obstacles that you guys never even knew about. Somehow, he always knew the right way to tell me to stop being a bitch in a way I was open to hearing. There's countless moments in this game where he had my back and he probably doesn't even realize the impact that had on both me and the story as a whole. He has some fantastic ideas that I hope to take increasing advantage of to continue to improve this thing. He's proven himself a loyal fan of the game and a loyal friend that I'd do anything for. Depending on when you sign on, Jordyn may or may not have his avatar finished. He won't freaking tell me what he's making so at this point, God only knows what my second moderator is going to look like. 

These guys know me and they know the vision of this story and honestly, I think they're a couple of amazing dudes that I'm stoked to have at my side for this. 

So for those interested, check out the new Discord channel, chat, post, do....things and let us know what you think. Say hey to Jordyn and Blayke and give them your condolences for putting up with my ass all the time--they deserve it.
