Marya pissed off another gang lord, so Idris informed her that he would probably send someone to kill her or whatever. He did say that the moment the assassin showed up then he would start a war with the guy cos “Oh he attacked one of my people so obv I gotta retaliate” but that isn’t relevant to marya cos she isn’t a gangster and the idea of someone going to attack her is mind-numbingly terrifying. So one day, when she’s at home alone getting dinner ready she hears someone approaching her, and they are footsteps she doesn’t recognize. So once they’re as close as she can stand, she kinda swings the knife to 💀the guy trying to sneak up on her but it’s just Idris. Yeah that’s the context 😂
