We had a good time yesterday. Today we have a bad one. Let me tell you the Tragedy of The Lioness and The Deer.
Ok so I told you the whole how they met vaguely. So, to pay back the debt, Leana fought for him. Won him money. She lived with him too, and he made sure she never ate meat. There’s a reason for that. But Leana, although she had been naive at the beginning, knew what his game was. She could tell that he liked to hurt and mess with predator animals. So she did the whole “kill ur emotion thing.” So no matter what was happening, she kept her face steady. Aeron, in turn, really couldn’t find any ways to make life MORE miserable. She didn’t really ever disagree, or cause a ruckus, or show emotion. Even when fighting, even though she was frightened stupid, she would make sure not to show it. When she was in pain, she didn’t look it. Eventually, Aeron was admittedly stumped. Predators aren’t very hard to crack after all. To Leana, she was just surviving. But to Aeron, things were changing for him.
Eventually after an extremely grueling fight, she expected him to have her fighting in a few days despite bruised ribs and a fractured arm. But when she expressed that that was what she was waiting for, Aeron did not arrange any fights in the next few months. In that time, he would talk to her. She would answer with yes no maybe etc but they were talking. But something felt a bit off. She let it go. She found out he was some kind of doctor. That’s where he was during the day. He became,,, kind. But Leana assumed it was his next new trick to disrupt her. He was suddenly allowing her to go outside with him. He would ask what she wants to eat as long as it was vegetarian. He got her a pretty dress. Earrings. Nice shoes. They’d go to restaurants. Walks in the park. She still did not change. Then one day, when the sun was setting, at a beautiful beach with white sand, Aeron turned to Leana, held her hands and said, “I love you. So say it back.”
