Alright my friends. Allow me to introduce you to this guy 🥹

Now let’s begin. First off, his name is Vadim. His family (aka his mom) is Edwynn's ally, and when I say Edwynn's ally I mean him and him alone. All of the "allies" Edwynn has are his maternal family's allies first and foremost. They help him because they desire something from his grandmother, not because they care about or think they could get anything from him directly. But Vadim's family is different. When Godwyn usurped the throne and Edwynn had to leave just in case his life was in danger, Vadim's family DID suffer great losses. For that year, it was them trying their best to stay afloat and maintain their position in society. Because of the internal unrest, their business (primarily exports) suffered, and they couldn't ally with Wynn's maternal family to help tide them over. They managed to keep themselves up somehow but it was tough. That's one reason that Vadim doesn't like Edwynn.

It's not the only reason tho. He's disliked Wynn since they were kids and he and his sister would go to the palace to play with the princes. TLDR he doesn't have much respect for Wynn. For many reasons.

When they were kids it's cos he thought he was weak and girly looking (idk, don't ask me about that) and Vadim discovered that he COULD pick on Wynn, and he wouldn't snap about it like others thought a prince would (certain things about Wynn's position in the palace etc etc). In the present day it's cos of the difficult position Wynn left him and his family, and the fact that Wynn "ran away”. To Vadim, he thinks he should've either defended his throne or died trying. (Eye roll)

Now about Vadim's personal life and his general ... I guess conflict? TLDR, his mother wants him to get married and settle down. Vadim doesn't want that. His mother told Wynn her feelings and troubles about this at some point, and considering that Wynn had come back to the capital, he felt that he was obligated to make up to Vadim's mom for leaving them in a difficult position. You have to treat your vassals right and repay them for their troubles, so Wynn took it upon himself to find Vadim a wife.

Now, ordinarily Vadim's mother wouldn't be this desperate to get Vadim to marry, even though he's 30 and the heir to the family. She'd be a bit miffed that he's still not wed but she'd be able to let it go. The problem is that Vadim is out of control. His reputation is in the shitter. He's known as a party animal, a playboy, always going around with this girl and that. His mother is deeply concerned about all this and how it'll affect him in the future. Nobody knows why he's so against marriage cos it's not like Vadim wouldn't do something he didn't want to if he had to.

So now Wynn is trying to be civil and normal with Vadim, but Vadim isn't having it and clearly despises Wynn. They're always butting heads. Or, well, Vadim is trying to butt beads and Wynn just kinda stares at him like he's a petulant child. Which just makes Vadim more annoyed. They're beefing.

He's being difficult while Wynn is just tryna marry this bastard off. We'll see what happens later tho. Things will develop because I like problems and so… do you :3
