[DISCLAIMER: this is just a big old “what if” because that’s my hobby; making shit up]

A few days ago I wondered to myself “what if Wren and Ladi divorced but Ladi found himself pregnant AFTER it was done???” And that was fun to ponder and ruminate over. Isn’t it? It’s fun, agree with me.

Well it ended up being far more complicated than I thought. Silly me for thinking it would be a haha funny situation. Ok let me run thru the hows and the whats:

• Wren and Ladi divorced and—due to the feelings that the perceived rejection brought up—Ladi skedaddled to Switzerland

• Once there, he eventually finds out that he’s pregnant

• A concoction of hormones and his already shaky mental state means that he cannot even fathom reaching out and telling Wren
• He has the kiddo (I call her Momo cos she’s cute and Momo is a cute nickname at least) and then PPD kinda beats the shit out of him for a WHILE!!!

• Three years pass eventually cos he has to deal with that and being a parent and having a career and at some point he was so focused on just… living that he lowkey sorta kinda maybe forgot a bit

• Three years is enough time for him to go “I have to tell this guy about Momo” and so he moved back to take his old job up at the uni he used to work at

• Wren ends up finding out about the baby completely by accident. At a farmer’s market too 😔 probably in front of some cheese as well

So that’s the basics. I won’t go into how this throws Wren into a little mini crisis, and how he hates Ladi now but won’t waste time with getting to know his lil daughter and will work with Ladi to make that happen, how Wren won’t know all of that stuff I’ve told you in the bullet point list because he did NOT want to have that conversation with Ladi (look, I cannot get into it but it has to do with the way they were when they were married and the amount of “understanding” that Wren had to do. He does not want to “understand” right now. But it’s fine give him a little while, the anger will pass and he’ll finally be ready to have that conversation)

Instead focus on how they’re so ADORABLE!! And Joe hopefully Ladi can rest a bit. He has a lot going on, things he has to acknowledge even if he doesn’t want to, etc etc.
