RJ Rambles about her teef
Added 2023-12-01 14:16:29 +0000 UTCHey guys. It's weird to ramble on a Friday. But since I'm waiting until Monday to release the Premium Edition, I figured I'd just swap my usual days.
So, I haven't done a whole lot since I rambled last on Monday, but I did have my wisdom teeth cut out. I was pretty anxious about this. It's the first time I have ever been fully sedated, so I was completely asleep. It was four teeth at once. No fun.
I think I was most worried about the anesthesia though. Since I'd never had it done before, I was worried that I'd have some allergic reaction to it. That something awful would happen and I'd just die in the dentist office. Or that I would say or do something embarrassing. We see all those YouTube videos and TikTok posts about the dumb shit that people say and do when they're coming off of sedation. I even apologized to my wife ahead of time.
But I just slept. And when I woke up, I felt like I was fully conscious. People we're saying that I'm probably not going to remember things, but I feel like I remember everything. I was able to have full conversations with people afterwards (although there was gauze in my mouth). I wasn't incoherent at all.
So that part ended up being easy. Now the recovery. The first day, the pain and the bleeding were really bad. I took some hydrocodone, which was also the first time I've ever taken a heavy narcotic like that. I didn't like how it made me feel at all. Immediately, I felt like I was sick. Like that tingly all over feeling, floating, spinning, and a bit of nausea. I slept most of that first day. After that, I've only taken some Tylenol.
I'm doing okay though. My cheeks are swollen a bit, so I look like a chipmunk with nuts in her mouth, but the pain is not too bad and I've been mostly able to work. The antibiotic, even though they say it's not supposed to make you tired, definitely makes me tired. I feel like a nap every time I take it. I'm very affected by drugs though. Anything makes me drowsy and stuff like NyQuil or Benadryl will just knock me out for a day.
I'm not able to eat very much right now either, which kinda sucks. I get a smoothie in the morning, then soup and more soup. Looking forward to being able to chew again. I want a taco really bad.
Anyways, I don't have much more to ramble about today. I've been working on the game, getting ready for the Premium release on Monday. Getting ready for my D&D game on Sunday. Hoping to feel good enough to go out hiking either this afternoon or tomorrow. Not sure it's going to happen though.
That's all I got. Love ya! Have a great weekend!

Hey, I did the exact same thing in the June. The "teeth holes" are really annoying. As an Australian I'd say "crunchy tacos" would be off the menu for a bit, and to be careful cleaning your mouth out after eating stuff in general. The most annoying foods were diced red onion and olives because they would 9000% fall into those damn holes.

2023-12-01 19:36:07 +0000 UTCI sympathize with wanting a taco really bad, but as long as you don't want a really bad taco, then you know you'll be alright. 😉 Hope you're fully recovered and chewing happily soon! 🙂
