This last week was mostly spent working on the game again. I did do some other things though. I watched Army of the Dead (didn't like it very much), I started playing Subnautica (fun so far), and I got to play D&D yesterday for the first time in a couple of months.
D&D is something that I've have such mixed feelings about it. Because I host the game and am the DM, it's a lot of work for me to prep things, clean up the play area and just all the mental stress of giving the players a good story and trying to make sure everybody has a good time. So before the game, a lot of time's I'm stressed out and anxious. But then during the game, it's a blast. Yesterday was SO much fun. It sort of reinvigorated my love for playing D&D and made me excited about the next session.
But then, my dumb brain last night - I guess all the endorphins of the day wore off and I came off whatever high I was riding and I got super depressed out of nowhere. Had kind of a rough night, and then woke up a couple hours late this morning.
I'm ready to get back to work, but I'm definitely not feeling 100% right now mentally. Working helps me though, in that regard, and I'm looking forward to getting back into it after taking yesterday off. Also really looking forward to the public release of Update 8 on Friday. I think you're all going to really love this update.

2021-05-31 20:15:54 +0000 UTCI don't know if you have seen it, but Dr. Pink Cake has a lot of fun with a version of "naughty D&D" in his game Being a DIK. If you haven't seen it, it is hilarious and you might even enjoy the naughty bits, especially when the MC is made a bard and given a high level of charm, which he, of course, uses to charm the panties off of (most) of the women and have his way with them. Very amusing.
