RJ Rambles about Lego for a looong time

Hey everybody. I don't really have a lot to talk about today. Aside from working on the game, pretty much all I've done for the last (couple of) weeks is work on Lego stuff.

I think everybody here by now knows how much I love Lego. I've always loved Lego, since I was a kid and my family bought me that pink bucket full of Lego bricks for Christmas, along with a doll that had cement in its head so that it could fall forward and tumble. They thought for sure that the Lego would be my least favorite gift that year, but I still have that bucket and I still build my Lego, and that rock-headed doll ended up buried in the back yard within a year.

So yeah, I love Lego. My parents never really had enough money to buy it for me when I was young though, and I never had enough money to buy much when I got older, but now... I might have gone a little overboard. I've been catching up a bit on the sets that I wanted. No huge purchases or nothing - no $1000 Death Stars, Hogwarts, or Disney Castle - but I've bought some of the city buildings that I really have been wanting and have been working a lot on the shelf that I mentioned in my 2022 goals post.

Lego always helps chill me out after any sort of stressful day. Just putting my headphones on and building something is so extremely enjoyable to me.

I have a few different projects that I'm working on as far as Lego goes, and I'm trying to get all my spare pieces organized (I have a lot), and I have other things planned as well. It's pretty much all that's been on my mind outside of the game.

But, I don't want this to become a Lego Patreon lol. I know you're all not here for that. I'm still very focused on the game, but when I finish working on the game for the day, having Lego there to sort of bring me down and chill me out is very good for me mentally. If you ARE interested in my Lego escapades, jump on the Discord and ask to be a Lego friend. I have a couple of secret channels on there that are only for talking about Lego, so I don't just fill every available space by gushing about these little bricks.

Okay, that's it. Love you guys. Hope you have an amazing week!

Fun having hobbies that mean so much to us. Reading a good book (Am I showing my age here?) listening to some nice instrumental music is my getaway that I went back to after stress of life gets too much! We all need that chill time in our day! Cheers!

I do both. I love chilling and building new sets out of the box - especially buildings. But I've also been building sets with my spare parts for my D&D game.

Do you build things just out of the box, as sold and advertised? Or you use the bricks to build whatever you want? The latter was the way I used Lego when I was a kid, playing with my dear (now alas dead) cousin. We built all sorts of spacecraft and things like that.
