RJ Ramblings

Hey everybody.

I'm getting a bit of a late start this morning. My partner has been out of town with her family for the weekend. Every time she leaves like this, she's like, "You'll get a lot more work done without me here distracting you." But it never works out that way. I usually end up getting less work done, because I have to do more around the house, doing the things that she usually does. And then I don't sleep as well at night, so I end up waking up two hours late, like this. Anyway, she comes back Tuesday and I'm looking forward to it.

Another thing I'm looking forward to is that I bought a new car, finally! It's going to be here Thursday! I can't wait. I got 2020 Honda Civic hatchback, for those who are interested. I think I'm going to be pretty happy with it. If you don't like that car for some reason, keep it to yourself :)

Other than that, I've been playing Elden Ring and still having a blast with it. I played through Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart on my PS5 as well, which was fun. And I started playing a little bit of Assassin's Creed Valhalla on PS5 as well, and while I'm enjoying it mostly, it's kind of a buggy mess and a bit embarrassing that it comes from such a big studio with these kinds of problems.

That's pretty much it. Time for me to get to work. Love y'all and hope you have a great week!

Good choice of vehicle. I've been a Honda Tech for over 25 years now and I can tell you that if you take care of it; it will take care of you and anyone whoever owns it after you. My '06 Odyssey is a regular tank and I wouldn't trade her for the world. My partner on the other hand... just kidding. No, the whole rhythm of the house changes when one partner is missing, and no amount of work or distraction can cover that. My partner is very much my muse, so when she's not around; I cannot create. Therefore I can barely live, because I live to create. It's very complicated. Hang in there and Yin and Yang will match up soon enough. And thanks for the lovely VN. I have just started work on my own and I hope I can develop something as complex and fun as yours when I am done. Turning me on to Daz 3D has been a lifesaver too! Thanks R.J.!

Congratulations on the new vehicle - ride it in style, keep safe, and rock it! I can totally relate on your partner being away and not getting as much done - I'm very much the same way; but hey, that's what makes a loving relationship such a great partnership, when their very presence not only enriches you, but you each also have tasks and roles that allow each other space to be yourselves and have your own focus as well. May you have a great week as well. Thank you for all you do and all that you are!

Congratulations on your new car, that's another goal you achieved! Be happy and take care!

I'm not sure. I have physical disc so maybe that reduces it.

Only 40 gigs? It's like 90 gigs on PC. Geeze. For Dawn of Ragnarok, that is, maybe the other fixes are baked in.

Same! There are a couple quests I can't complete that are supposed to be fixed with the newest update. But the update is 40GB and my internet sucks and I spent 4 days downloading it. But apparently if the ps5 enters rest mode while the game is downloading or updating, it corrupts the files and you have to delete and start over. This is an issue on all Ubisoft games on PS5. Absolutely ridiculous for a studio that size.

I got Valhalla the day it came out and there were 2 quests/events that were bugged and were impossible to complete. I checked back when the first and second DLCs came out and they still weren't fixed. I hope it doesn't happen to you as well. People complained about Cyberpunk, but I found it far less buggy than Valhalla. Plus, Cyberpunk can be modded.

I appreciate it, but I didn't apologize for anything lol :)

Congrats on the new car! No need to apologize for things. Your fans and followers understand that life happens RJ :)

My favorite car was a Honda Accord also! I bought it from my mom for $1000 when it was on its last leg and then kept it going for a few years. Then I got a new car, and sold the Accord to my sister, who then wrecked it within a month.

Congrats on the Civic! I miss having a Honda, it was my favorite car. It was an Accord, but I've driven my mom's Civic and liked that too.
