Introducing Retro Game Sessions
Added 2016-10-29 23:07:22 +0000 UTCEvery Sunday (when possible), I will be streaming a classic game of your choosing! For any Patron who is at a dollar or higher, you can vote starting on Fridays (after I finish up my streams) on 3 different games to pick from. During the week, I will also accept suggestions sent to me via Twitter (@mbdamiani).
For the time being, the only eligible games will be those release before the year 2000, so anything up to the end of 1999.
Also, a game can't be super expensive to obtain or play (ie the hardware needed to run it costs a ton) -- so don't suggest something like that. If it's a game that's no longer playable outside of emulation, I'll consider those but will tend to avoid stuff like that if possible.
Finally, if you're going to suggest a retro PC game and it's not easy to setup, include a link to a video/article about how to get it up and running easily and I'll be more inclined to nominate it.
Since we're so close to Halloween, this first episode will feature three spooky classics from the same franchise!
They are:
- Castlevania (NES)
- Super Castlevania IV (SNES)
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1)

Retro Game Sessions will not be full play throughs unless indicated. For some of these games, they should be short enough to complete in the session, but if not, I'll be sure to save progress in case I come back to the game at a later point and will resume from there.
Again, I want to make this more about you all suggesting games during the week, and then voting on three of them to see what I pick. This could also be a good chance to get me to play games I haven't played before, and feel free to ask me if I haven't! I won't disqualify a game simply because I haven't played it, so don't worry.
The stream begins at 1pm PDT on Sunday, October 30th.

Damiani you should play Mischief Makers, one of my favorite platformers from N64, either that or the AMAZINGLY bad Mortal Kombat: Sub Zero which is ALWAYS good for a laugh
2016-11-01 18:34:14 +0000 UTCIf you guys are confident you can get past level 3 (speeder bikes) then Battletoads would be a great choice, levels 4-12 are great. I don't remember if anyone beat it on Rare Replay. The original NES cart may be a little too expensive though, since it is an infamous title. I haven't played the RR version, but I think it's the exact same, so that could be an option.

2016-10-31 14:36:19 +0000 UTCAs you guys grew up with consoles I would love to see you guys try some Amiga 500 Games. Home computer were pretty famous during the late 80s and 90s in Europe and gave birth to some really good games (and studios like Psygnosis, DMA Design, Factor 5, Bitmap Brothers etc). My favourite Game of all Times is surprisingly Turrican 2: The Final Fight by Factor 5 which can best described SciFi Run and Gun game with some inspiration from Super Mario. It includes great Power Ups, a lot of verticality and heaps of secret 1ups. The best version was released 1991 on the Amiga 500 (the Atari ST Version was OK as well) and is THE version to play.

It is a very jolly Co-op game that shows his early puzzle mechanics. I am not sure if it is on any virtual console but is available on Amazon for a reasonable price.
