For those of you who weren't a $1 or higher Patron, this might be the first time you've seen/heard of this new stream. Every Sunday I stream retro games made before 2000, and I let Patrons vote on what I play.
Initially I said I would take suggestions during the week and then allow voting to begin on Fridays. The winner would be what I played that Sunday. Well, I easily overlooked a small issue - not every retro game is easily available to get in a 24-48 window. So, I'm going to need to make the window of time for me to get the winning game larger.
In order to solve this in the easiest manner, I'm going to simply do full play throughs of the games you vote on. After the first session of a game, I will put up a poll using suggestions from you all containing 3 games I nominate. The voting will begin on Sundays and run for 72 hours.
That way, I will still be in the middle of playing through a game and have the coming Sunday's session be the same game as before. That means the following Sunday, should I finish the current game, would be the new game voted on. This would give me over a week to secure the winning game, which is much more reasonable.
So that's basically it. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night will continue this Sunday at 1pm PT. I will put up the poll for the next session's game in just a moment for Patrons who pledge $1 or more.
Also, I will take game suggestions in the comments of each post as well as on Twitter (please tweet @mbdamiani and not just @easyallies).
L&R,
- Damiani
