Huber wins the bet! Titanfall 2 already down to $35 at Target http://www.target.com/pl/969435483?clkid=680083b0Nf2559f33cfc44f739a8eec16&lnm=81938&afid=TechBargains&ref=tgt_adv_xasd0002

All those cool mechanics are present in the franchise since the first Monster Hunter and Dragons Dogma used some of those mechanics, even Demon Souls and Dark Souls clearly had some influence in some of those game mechanisms. I'll buy the Switch for the Zelda BotW that I feel will also have lots of Monster Hunter in there... MH fan boy here...

Great episode. Bought IW+my fav MWr. Not bought Titanfall or Battlefield yet and I was going to wait until they were dead cheap but all the hype am going to get them in Christmas sales. Beat IW campaign on veteran last night, so damn good best COD since MW.

At 2:29:16 Hubers laugh sounds exactly like Mario dying in the original Super Mario Bros

Neverending Story still holds up!

Every time Ian knocks something over, have a drink.

Avatar Continuum

Let's go on. Let's love games.

Only 15 minutes in and I can already tell Ben is totally on his moderator game in this episode. Really great at expressing strong opinions and getting the best out of those on the panel.

"I'm glad I'm like me instead of like you" Please, Ian, make that a shirt

GW Fawkes

I just want to say the "what have you been playing" segment is always the highlight of the podcast for me. Its like a small peek in the lives of the allies and there are always allies that are playing games that I dont expect and I love that.

FreeDoM

That doesn't really seem like a correction.

Was in a gaming lull a couple of weeks ago so I picked up Super Paper Mario for like $5 at the local game store. Great game, brought me out of my funk immediately.

-Ghillie suits are real and are employed by military forces world wide. Started by industrious soldiers who cut and attached natural vegetation and mesh to their standard military issue clothing to become unseen when hiding. That said, a ghillie suit is not likely to hide you from trained military personnel who are standing 5 feet from you on an open gravel path when you are dressed like a bush. -Pripyat was a town built nearest the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The majority of family's that lived there had a family member working at the power plant. The Chernobyl reactor had a nuclear meltdown in the 80's during a test sequence. The Russians denied the meltdown for days until the radiation was so great that it could no longer be denied. Pripyat was evacuated in an emergency state. People were told to leave everything behind but what they could fit in a single suitcase. They were loaded on busses and taken away. Hot meals still on plates, family pets left behind.

You literally can't spell BeatenDownBrian without BeatenDownIan.

CORRECTION: Ian said he couldn't support a game after an entry is sexist. Yet he clamors for a new Metroid game

Sean Dupree

Guys you have to be really careful about saying that name too much, I'm kinda like Bettlejuice. :D

BeatenDownBrian

CORRECTION: Come on, Kyle.... "All Ghillied Up" takes place in Pripyat, not in Chernobyl. Not in Russia, but in Ukraine. And the town was evacuated in 1986, not nuked... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pripyat

No one knows hitmaning more than Ian....

Titanfall 2 is definitely the best multiplayer shooter of this year, I've picked them all up and it's been the one game I've stuck with the most. The polish is all there, the servers run great, I've had no major issues at all. Whereas Battlefield 1 needs some patch work on console to fix some annoying technical problems before being as good as I'm sure it was meant to be. And IW.....well, I went back to MWR instead. The lag comp and spawning in IW is just awful, absolutely awful. I've never consistently gone negative in CoD as much as I have in IW. It's either resoundingly positive in my favor or just completely stomped, no inbetween. Constantly having 1 or more enemies spawn behind me, respawning with someone already behind me or off to the side where I can't see or have a chance to react. I want to put the blame on the maps being so much smaller than previous CoDs but I'm not really sure, beta didn't seem to be this bad so maybe it's a simple fix for them to tweak the spawning and solve all of this. But yeah, Titanfall 2 gave me everything I loved about the first game and then some. I really hope more people give it a chance, I can't stress this enough lol.

ZyloWolfBane

Just finished the video now. Huber's last statement is very relevant to my comment lol. You guys didn't help much in this decision, both these games sound amazing and I still can't choose between the two.

Andrew Chalmers

Picking up Titanfall 2 once I'm done Paper Mario :D

I've been tossing up between getting Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2. I can only afford one, and I think I'm leaning toward Titanfall 2 because it seems like it has fun physics, but I'm not sure.

Andrew Chalmers

I'm sorry you feel that way man. But maybe remember that the podcast is made by humans who don't need your hate? Like you're actually raging at real people.

Alec Church

fucking ian, he brings the whole podcast down. with his nonsense game about camping shit. He seriously brings the worst out of the crew. I cant stand him.

Michael Rielly

Thank you guys for trying to maintain a higher moral ground, instead of going with the flow down the river with a lot of the online crowd. I am sick of the F bomb all the time. I do a lot of online games and sorry to say it kills it for me. They say well then do not listen. The thing is I like your shows. Sorry I just had to say this. Great show, was interesting. take care all of you.

Another great episode, but this goes out to Ben: Please, please go see an optician / optometrist. Eyesight issues are not something that should be taken lightly, especially not for someone who's professional and personal life is so keenly tied to a visual medium. An issue that could be easily corrected and stabilised can also quickly spiral downward if ignored for long enough. If your eyesight has been bad for a long time, then glasses or other corrective measures could literally change your life for the better. If you've noticed your eyesight has been getting worse recently then you could be saving it all together. Much love.

Tygre

Regarding Ian's thing about a camping game, that "What the Box?" game seemed like a pretty good way of using the idea of camping.

Andrew Chalmers

So i realized the other day when you posted the "just played" of Dark Souls 3, that Frame Trap is pretty much a "Just Played" but for a collection of different games that the panel has been playing. I was wondering if you can combine these two types of videos then. Would it be possible that you ask whoever is gonna be on the panel for next Frame Trap, to capture a couple minutes of each game theyve been playing durign the week, so when we are in the beginning section of Frame Trap, you can B-roll the game footage while that person explains his time with the game. Idk, just a thought. loved this episode. keep it up guys!

Andrew Left

Great vid guys. So many cool FPS's to play right now! Btw we actually got to work on several of the Call Of Duty games over the years. Motion Capture acting, voice and stunts!

Don't see a download link on the Soundcloud! Hope it's up before commute home
