Meet & Greet Tips

To anyone who’s planning on attending tonight’s meet & greet, here’s some last minute advice to hopefully improve your “experience.”
- We’ll be in the Avalon Ballroom at the Hilton Anaheim, right next to the Anaheim Convention center where PSX will be starting tomorrow. We won’t have a big line or queue, but we’ll likely be playing a game or chatting with other allies when you show up, so make yourself at home.
- Say hi! We obviously can’t have 10 conversations at once, but if you see us just goofing around, don’t hesitate to introduce yourself. We’re hosting this to meet and greet each and every one of you.

- Don’t obsess about getting there right at 6 PM. There’s a possibility we’re going to be setting stuff up still, depending on when we can gain access to the space. We’re also not doing anything specific for the start of the evening, at least nothing you’d kick yourself for missing. Some people are planning on leaving early, or arriving late, so fit us into your evening however you’d like.
- No food or drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring in a Big Gulp or some Taco Bell, but we won’t have anything there that you would consider a meal. So fill up before you show up, or take off early and grab something later. We didn’t want to have a full buffet if only a handful of people are going to attend. If we get a big hungry turnout this year, then at the next meet & greet the Dominos and San Pellegrino will flow like bread and wine.
- It normally goes without saying when we’re online, but be nice to one another. This will be an extremely casual event. We want people to be free to come and go. If we need to do wristbands, cover charges, and other craziness in the future, we will, but this first hangout will be lots of Rock Band, LEGOs, and board games. Nothing too intense. Be nice to the Hilton. Let’s keep it chill.
Apologies again to anyone that can’t get there tonight. Based on the success of this evening, we’ll plan more and more events like this, hopefully in other parts of the world. So stay tuned! I’ve had butterflies in my stomach about this event for weeks, but now that it’s tonight, I can’t wait to get down to Anaheim and hang out with y’all. Bring your love, respect, and Mario Kart skills.

PS: I probably won’t have time to sneak into Disneyland tonight, but I’m definitely going to drop in Sunday night after PSX if any of you will still be around. I’ll tweet out the specifics.

I feel you! 3 of my best friends live in Australia and I live in the US.... I spend so much time online hanging out with them that I hardly ever go out locally and it makes me feel like I am not socializing enough even though I am. I live only 1 state over and even I couldn't make it though.

I hope everyone has a great time, I'll have to wait for a future event, and hopefully one that's closer to Los Angeles. Love and respect.

Just a couple quick questions: Will there be pictures from the event and/or a video discussing the Allies' takeaways sometime next week (What was awesome, can be improved, etc.) for those of us who can't make it? Would've loved to have been able to go and it helps assuage the FOMO by having that kind of thing. If not, that's totally fine, just didn't think it would hurt to ask. Have fun Allies!

It's not just because you'll be meeting strangers, but because you want to make this a great experience for everyone. Remember, us Allies are nervous too! And at the end of the day, all we want is to see you guys have fun. In the meantime, I'll be patiently waiting to see how Kyle throws the marble count.
