Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Review

Bloodworth here, and my Deus Ex review is finally done. Apologies for the delays on this. Lots of traveling and sickness and seemingly anything else tried to get in the way.

Also, one of the first comments called it short, but I swear I've put a good 30 to 40 hours in to this game. My need to search every nook and cranny probably extended the process as well. Enjoy!

Yeah, I did that too. Sometimes the augs you have to activate manually are a bit overwhelming to learn and fully understand their uses, so I tend to side with the passive ones, generally.

My only complaint was that I played it safe in a sense. By that I mean that I augmented my passive augs rather than the experimental ones so to really get into what is new with the game I'd have to give it another go; which I don't have time to do. Still, the game was awesome.

Thank you

Yeah, excellent editing throughout.

Did we ask for this?

It's good, but I don't think there's a theme that gets its hooks in as strong as Icarus. I really like the transitions between stealth and combat when you get spotted though. We featured a couple in the review. -Bloodworth

Blood sees the magic that I'm seeing, and it appears other people see it as well, and that makes me uber happy. This game is magic.

Blood, I have to admit that I'm a little surprised that you, of all people, made no mention of the musical score. Human Revolution has one of the finest OST's in recent memories and is still a regular part of my daily listening. How does Mankind Divided's score measure up?

I think what made this review just that much better was the retrospective. Having watched that, I had some base knowledge of the series, and having never played any of the games, I noticed themes and mechanic progression I learned from the previous videos. Excellent job Mr. Bloodworth.

Bravo! Great review, I love the final shot with the doors closing and Adam riding away exit stage right.

I beat it last night at 35 hours. GOTY

I was gonna wait on this game as some of the reviews I read suggested the story was cut short to set up DLC... But if blood gives it the thumbs up I'm in. Gonna buy it later tonight. Edit: sorry didn't mean short as in length of game but rather poor ending to the story thereby forcing the dlc
